the nev family & uncommonly cute shoes
I’m back and posting away so I can possibly (ha!) catch up (haha!!) with all the families I have to edit and get posted here on the blog.
Today, the nev family is first. These are my good friends (and Timmy’s BFF). We went down to the beach to take some pictures for this year’s portraits. Their oldest cannot be long without his spiderman costume so we had to incorporate it into some pictures. Mom is due with their third (I’m so excited!!) in the spring and we all can’t wait to see if it’s a boy again. Love three boys!
And I got the nicest compliment from Timmy’s BFF. He said during the shoot "i really like beth". Really buddy, the feeling is totally mutual! Especially cause if he ‘really likes’ me during a shoot, then it’s all good!
And now Uncommonly Cute… (not that the kids above aren’t uncommonly cute themselves. This just happens to be the name of a company I did a shoot for)
Recently met another mom with her own business with adorable kids tshirts and accessories. You can find her website here: www.uncommonlycute.com. Along with a family shoot (which is not quite done yet so it will be posted sometime soon) I did a product shoot for her with her new line of shoes. They are definitely uncommonly cute!

the goo & tar families (+ some product shots too)
Ok, so I missed another blogging day. Sorry about that. Yesterday was nuts (what else is new) with two shoots during the day. My wonderful mother in law babysat while I shot and then took the boys to the movies. During which time I edited and took a shower. Exciting, I know. But last night I went up to Conneticut to have dinner with my college BFF, Robin (and her brother, and her brother’s girlfriend) and Joe and then we saw Brian of The Turn play at a bar in Stamford. It was a fun night and I am ridiculously exhausted, not to mention sick with a cold. Super. Tonight we are going to see Alison Moyet (lead singer of the group Yaz) at Westbury Music Fair. And then away to the ‘east house’ for part of the holiday weekend.
So, without further ado, making up for lost blogging time and posting the goo and tar families. The moms are the sisters who created and own their own business www.bcauseisaidso.com where they offer amazingly original and cute kids shirts. I’ve done lots of product work for them over the last year or so and also did photoshoots for both their families last year for holiday cards and some parties in between, so you will probably recognize them from the blog. I love my repeat clients and they are certainly no exception!
First the goo family. We shot over at Martin Viette Nursery in Muttontown where there happened to be a local TV crew filming for a pumpkin segment. The kids and mom & dad got interviewed so I had to snap a few of that. We all had a great time walking around and checking things out. They are seriously great boys.
Then the tar family arrived just in time to get some cousin shots (good for grandparents for the upcoming holidays!) and some product shots as well. Dontcha just love the new "back to school" shirts (kindergarten rock star and nursery school magna cum laude)?! Super cute.
We found some "christmasy trees" in the back of the nursery and settled in there with the tar boys looking for that elusive holiday shot. These boys are all about ACTION so getting that shot is always a challenge. But since they spent some time playing with my boys at the beach this summer and around me, they were a lot more comfortable which = better pictures. And really, how could you resist those faces??

more product- bcause i said so summer
If you’ve been a blog reader for a while, you will recognize the bcause i said so line. If not, well, this is a friend of mine who started her own business along with her sister a few years ago. Kids t-shirts with the cutest sayings in fun fonts. If you’d like to check out her website and do some shopping, you can visit at: www.bcauseisaidso.com
Here are some of her summer products. Cuter than ever!
The last shirts (caution: eats sand) is so true. If the boys were little now, they would be wearing these shirts everyday. When they were around 1 year old and we went to the beach, they used to suck all the salt off of the big pretzel rods and then stick them into the sand like it was delicious dip. And then eat the sand covered pretzels. Yuck. But they thought it was delicious!
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Not sure if I’ll have time to post more on the blog til Monday night. Shoots tommorrow and Sunday, with one from this past Tuesday still to be finished on the editing. Tommorrow morning we are going to see the boys racehorse for a visit and going to get down to the beach club this weekend (hopefully more than once) to get set up for summer and hang out a little in the sand. Without eating it on pretzels.
