    more beaches & buckets

A quick reshoot of one style of flip flops. Since I didn’t have the awesome rhinestone charms that go on them at the beach, I reshot them in the backyard so now you can see the full effect. Super cute with the charms, right?? You’ll see them along with all the other stuff at my party on May 30th. If you didn’t get an invite and want to come, please email me. A big thanks to my great friend Jen (aka FoxyKate today) for her foot modeling! Not to mention playing with all the boys while I took some flip flop pictures. You’re the best, Jen. Had a great time today.Img_5706sl

    blurb book

Since the whole scrapbooking thing has fallen by the wayside lately, I had to do SOMETHING to use all those 100,000 pictures I take of us a year. Ok, maybe not really 100,000 but close. So I found this super cool thing online at blurb books where you basically publish your own book. They have a zillion different templates to plop your pictures into, backgrounds, colors, designs, you name it. Plus you can use any font in your computer. So cool, creative and fun. And I got to use all my favorite pictures to boot. I pulled almost all of the journaling right off my blog which makes it so much easier.

Here are a few shots of the book- nothing spectacular. It looks so much better in real life. The whole book is about 141 pages long. Hardcover with a dustjacket and everything. Thanks to Patrick for being my book holding helper.

And for a little sneak preview of my next project: a picture wall for the den. There are currently two small picture shelves there above the couch, but I wanted to do something different. Here are the frames layed out on the living room floor. I just ordered all the pictures for the frames and am waiting for them to come in. Doing a mix of black & white and color. The actual hanging is going to be umm…challenging, I think. I hope it looks as good in real life as it does in my head. Img_4725x

Tommorrow is the wedding- getting excited. I will post pictures on that as soon as I can. The boys finished up their speeches tonight and they are all ready to go. Today I had a shoot for the gup baby- she has her christening tommorrow. I feel so bad that I can’t be there for the actual christening, but that would be a little difficult! So we got in a ton of shots today. Planning on posting those early next week. But here’s one little sneak peek until then…

    beaches n buckets

    Img_4637sl

One of my previous clients (the O family from last summer) has started her own business selling all kinds of fun beach accessories- bags, flip flops, matching belts, headbands, etc for adults and kids, too. She asked me if I would take some pictures of her product for her website. So down to the beach we headed on Mothers Day to get some shots of all of her super cute and fun stuff. I took pictures of the product she gave me, but there is a ton of other stuff on her site. More of the pix I took are in an album on the left.

I am having a beaches n buckets party here at my house on Friday, May 30th. I sent out a ton of evites, but if you didn’t get one and you’d like to come, please send me an email and I will forward it along to you. The more, the merrier. Please don’t feel like I skipped over you, I did the "mailing" at around 1:30am and was a little punchy and the whole thing wasn’t working right. So I had to type in each email address one by one (and there were 108 evites sent!).

Please feel free to check out her website for ALL of her product and have fun shopping. The link is here: beaches n buckets.  Really, I dare you to not shop!

    bcause i said so photoshoot

A friend of mine and her sister (who is now pretty much my friend too!) started a business a while ago called "bcause i said so", doing t-shirts for kids. Their stuff is super cute and original. If you haven’t before, you should check out their website at www.bcauseisaidso.com I have posted about them on the blog before. Well, today we did a photoshoot for some of the shirts that are supposed to be featured in Newsday magazine sometime in the spring. We had 6 kids all told- one of which was mine. The girls and the boys you should also recognize as they have both had photoshoots and been on the blog before.

The big boys were not interested this time, but I’ll try again with them. The "on the tooth fairy’s payroll" would be beyond perfect for them- but you know Patrick will NOT open his mouth to smile, so you wouldn’t be able to tell anyway!

Anyway, here are a few shots from today. What do you think? The rest are in an album on the left under "bcause i said so". Enjoy!Img_6458sl Img_6500sl Img_6523sl Img_6536sl Img_6565sl Img_6598sl Img_6556sl Img_6527sl

    “bcause i said so”

A friend of mine who I used to work with at the shoe company about a thousand years ago recently started her own business along with her sister. It’s called bcause i said so and you can find the link to their website HERE. They create the cutest T-shirts for kids. I took some pictures of their new line today and here are a few of those:Img_4343sc Img_4344sc Img_4401sc2 Img_4392sc

so cute…right??!! Loving the long sleeved shirts for the fall/winter months. They are cute enough to make me almost want another baby. Almost. But not really.

My photoshoot for today was rescheduled for next week. One of the woman’s sons may have broken his elbow- ouch!! So she was going to be spending her day at the ER instead. C, I hope he’s okay.

I am off Saturday to a photography show at Javits. I am really looking forward to that- can’t wait to see what’s there. I went to the stationary show at Javits a few months back with Mark from the camera store. Timmy came with us as I didn’t have anyone to watch him that day. Little did I know that strollers were not allowed on the show floor. WTF? People in wheelchairs were allowed, people who had those rolling walker things were allowed, but NO STROLLERS. So basically, I had to carry or chase Timmy the entire 3 hrs during the show while holding my diaper bag packed to the hilt with toys, diapers, wipes, and tons of snacks. Yeah, that was a lot of fun. But I do have to say that he was such a good, good boy that day. He even fell asleep while I was carrying him around. And he LOVED the train. Still have the pictures to scrap from that day. If I ever get around to scrapping again, that is. He won’t be joining us this time. Which is kinda sad, but also not. I don’t think my foot can handle the no strollers rule.
