bcause i said so- another new batch
of totally adorable shirts for both boys and girls, twins and singletons, big and small. Wish the big boys were still little- they would definitely be rockin the ‘part of a set’ shirts (except both in blue)…
If you are interested in purchasing any of the shirts shown here or seeing some of bcause i said so’s other products, visit their website at www.bcauseisaidso.com

for the littlest fashionistas
My friends Denise and Tricia own bcauseisaidso.com, a great kids clothing company. Here are a few shirts from their newest collections, seen first here on the blog.
If the sayings on the shirts don’t make you giggle… well, you should be. So get on that and visit their website.

the arno family
The backstory: I went to high school with mom’s brother (well, and with her too but her brother and I graduated the same year). She’s an amazing baker, which I didn’t know until I did a First Communion shoot for another high school friend and saw her cake there. And of course, had to have one for myself! But more about the cake later…
Had a great shoot with this family at their home. Their kids are so cute and SO smart. Scary smart.
Miss K was a tough customer with the smiles but with Daddy’s help, we got some. The curls and bow on the back of the dress is just for mom.
They were troopers, rearranging Halloween decorations so it looked more Christmasy, bringing furniture outside, sitting on the wet grass for a picture. My usual crazy requests.
The mini Cooper is a big favorite for everyone in the family, so we had to include it in some. Love that it’s red and just went so well with everything!
And since we’re so close to Halloween, we threw on their costumes for a few shots as well.
Mom needed a new headshot for her website and I was more than happy to oblige. Love the blue chef’s coat. And here’s a shot of the cake she made me for my 40th (I know, I know….I still haven’t posted the pix from my party but I will. Eventually. Like in January when all the holiday season craziness is done). Isn’t so awesome!!??!! Loved it- it looked exactly the way I pictured it in my head. And the camera on the top?- perfect! And it was a delicious cake too! (chocolate- what else?)
You should definitely visit Emily Arnone Cakes. Her stuff is just art! I’m seriously considering having another party just so I can get another cake!

back to school & jujewels
Ya, okay. So the two topics of today’s post don’t actually have anything to do with one another but with so many family shoots to show, they are going to have to be posted together. So live with it.
While the big boys started back to school last week (5th grade for the love of god! Can you believe it?), Timmy just started PreK this week. Everyone is very, very happy with their teachers and classmates and things are going really well so far. I am not thrilled with the making of sandwiches, driving around all day to different activities, and getting up early every morning. Especially not the morning part.
Oh, and Timmy is a total clown lately. Love it.
Jack & Patrick start Fall Baseball this week, as well as drum lessons. Religion isn’t for another few weeks. Timmy started his gym class, OT and PT, and a soccer class this week. See what I mean about the driving?!
And now for the other part of the post…my friend Judy started a new venture called Jujewels- all photographic & silver jewelry and accessories. We have been working together on the jewelry with me/bsquared photography supplying the photos, and Judy crafting them into something beautiful and fun to wear. I’ve been wearing mine around quite a bit and love it. I have gotten so many compliments on my necklace and a lot of people asking where to get it. Such a nice gift for the upcoming holidays, too!
Check out the Jujewels site here: http://www.whiletheyrelittle.com/JuJewelsHome.html And go buy something pretty for yourself or a friend with your fabulous bsquared photos!!!
I’ll be back tommorrow with another family session to share.

5 for Friday
1. So after ‘officially’ opening the bsquared fall calendar last weekend, I have booked 35 shoots! Craziness!! Thank you to all my clients both repeat and new, and to all my clients who have referred a friend or family member, there’s no better compliment. I never imagined bsquared photography would turn into anything close to this. I’m so lucky and I’m so grateful to you all! (and especially to John and my boys who are so supportive and let me do this crazy photography thing!)
Based on the fact that I’ve booked 35 shoots for Sept-Nov, there are not so many spots left. So don’t procrastinate and get shut out. Book your fall date now. Here’s the most updated calendar: http://www.bsquaredphotography.net/?page_id=3635
2. I bought a new chair today for the “office” (my office is a built in desk in my kitchen with the computer and all my bsquared books on it). I spend more hours than I care to count sitting here, so I figure it was time to upgrade my seating. I’m so excited to get it! Can you guess which color I ordered?
3. Been doing lots of design work for my favorite band, The Turn. They have a residency gig at a really cool bar in NYC called Arctica on Sundays for the rest of the summer. With the whole band playing! So if you are looking to get out and RockTheTurn, this would be a great place to do it- easy access right on 3rd Ave.
And some exciting news- I was just asked by the nice people at Arctica to do some promotional card design work for them too ! Thanks, B for getting me that!! So I’ll post that card when it’s all done.
4. Went with the boys and Grandma & Grandpa to see Jack & Patrick’s new horse race at Belmont. It was all exciting up until the last minute when the horse was scratched at the gate by the track vet. Loose shoes or something. So we didn’t get to see Talking Blues race, but at least we had a fun afternoon and I got some nice pictures.
Dosen’t he have a nice, sweet face?
(for you blog followers out there, you may know that Jack & Patrick had another race horse named Wheel Charmer who had a non-existant career, but was a nice horse and unfortunately had to be put down due to a leg injury. So Talking Blues is the newest horse. We are anxiously awaiting getting into that winners circle. Someday.)
The boys won $2 each on the race before so it wasn’t a total loss.
5. I’m so excited to give you a little heads up on some upcoming bsquared ‘stuff’ that’ll be offered starting in August. I’ll be putting up all my 2009 Holiday Card collection templates. So make sure you stop by the blog to see those.
AND…I am thrilled to be working with my friend Judy on her new venture : Ju-jewels. She’ll be offering custom created photo jewelery and accessories. They are beautiful and I’m proud to be sporting mine around town! Here’s a little sneak peek: (the pictures of the jewelry aren’t the best. I think I need to invest in the macro lens. But the jewlery itself is gorgeous, and thick, and the photos inside are super crisp.)
6. (ok, I know it’s 5 for friday, but it’s already so late in the day so I am throwing in one more). While bsquared is closed for the month of August, I’m only closed in the sense that I’m not TAKING any pictures for clients. I’m still so far behind on the editing that there will be plenty of shoots still posted to the blog of client sessions. Plus, Holiday Cards 2009 will be debuting as well as more of the Ju-jewelry collection, and all of my personal pictures. So please keep coming back to visit every day, my loyal stalkers! There might be a lull in the action for the 1st week of August because I will actually BE on vacation then, but I might schedule some stuff to post while I’m away.
