2010 bsquared prices & policies
Here they are. This is the exact post that will appear in the b2 info on the top bar of the blog. Would love to hear from you to see what you think.
Also, the bsquared 2010 calendar is open from January-May. If you reserve your spot now (before 12/25) you will receive $25 off the regular shoot price. Happy Holidays!
Thank you for your interest in bsquared photography. I hope that we will be working together to create beautiful, forever images of your family or your special event.
You may notice that there have been some changes from last years pricing and packages.
Please note that my fees always include the ‘digital negatives’ of the images from your shoot. That means two things:
1. I do NOT charge per print. Other professional photographers charge upwards of $35 for a 5×7. You are free to take your disc and make as many enlargements, copies, etc as you wish. You own the rights to all of your images. That can be compared to a $1600 package, which you are purchasing for $350.
2. Each and every picture in your album is edited and hand corrected. If your child has a bruise on his head, a fake tattoo on his arm, if your teen has a blemish (or many), if your husband has a black eye from a basketball game gone wrong- I will do all I can to make your images perfect.
Thank you for your interest in bsquared photography. You can email me here: bbeyrer1@optonline.net. Looking forward to hearing from you!

7 for Saturday
1. Some new shots of my favorite band, The Turn. Had a goal of an acoustic shot taken vertically and had some stuff to trade back and forth with them so I went over to see them play last Friday at Longhorns (used to be bbq. inc) in RVC. Beth W even came along for a little while. Of course, it was a great time. I’m supposed to go take some pictures of them up at a festival in Pomona today, so stay tuned for those…eventually. I just hope I can do it without it raining all over my camera!!!
To see the rest of the shots from the night, please click HERE.
2. Things are changing for bsquared photography next year. I”m finding that it’s just not possible for me to keep up this pace. I never get to see the boys on the weekends and am up every single night til at least 2am editing, and I’m nowhere near close to being caught up. And yes, I still love it, but I absolutely have to cut back.
That being said, for 2010, I’ll be working only one day each weekend. I will alternate the calendar so that one weekend will be Saturday and one will be Sunday (as much as possible). I’ll work during my ‘on’ day from 9am until the last drop of light is gone from the sky. During busy season (Sept-end of Nov), I will most likely throw in a weekday late afternoon or two a week for a few shoots as well. (have to wait and see on that because we’ll be starting Middle School and Kindergarten here in September).
Because of the new schedule, there will be fewer spots available so that means everyone should book as early as possible to ensure you get a spot. Right now, I’m taking and holding dates for Communion Season (where I will be working both weekend days from April thru mid May to accommodate everyone’s communions.) If you are interested, please email me at bbeyrer1@optonline.net to hold your time and date. I haven’t quite figured out pricing for 2010 either (that’ll be in December) so I’ll just put you on the calendar and we can confirm once prices are done.
3. In reference to the above schedule changes, the bsquared calendar for Jan-May of 2010 is up. You can view it here: 2010 bsquared calendar
4. While Timmy and I had a dinner date last night, and then proceeded to both fall asleep in his bed at 9:30pm (where I slept until 9:30am today! See what I mean about not being able to keep up this pace), the big boys, Daddy, and Hakka (Grandpa Ken) went to see the Mets at CitiField and caught a foul ball!!!! I have yet to hear the story, as I was sleeping last night when they came home and was still sleeping when they left to play in their game this morning. Here’s a picture from Hakka’s phone of the big moment!
5. All shoots today (except for the Turn) are rescheduled due to the rain. This rain is playing total freakin havoc with my shoot schedule. I have a waiting list almost 10 deep already and this rain is definitely not boding well for their chances to get a shoot in! I used to wish that my superpower was seeing into the future (Alice from Twilight anyone) but now I’m switching to ‘weather control’ for my superpower.
6. I know lots of people are waiting for pictures from my birthday party. I haven’t even thought about editing them yet, and with the current schedule won’t be able to for a while…so hang in there. I’ll get to them eventually. Probably Dec or Jan. Not even kidding. Here’s two from the photobooth in the meantime.
7. Just booked our winter trips to South Florida and to Disney. Now, that’s really something to look forward to! So far, I am loving the Disney Vacation Club. They make everything so easy to book!! Unfortunately, we won’t be able to stay in our ‘home resort’ of Bay Lake Towers cause we booked too late and they are all full. I’m hoping to do that in 2011 though!
Hope everyone has a nice Saturday, rain or not.

bsquared 2009 holiday card collection
It’s back to school today and the official start of the fall season (well, at least to me. Back to school = Fall). So, I’ve already started my ‘holiday season’ shoots in full force and figured now was as good a time as any to get the holiday card templates up on the blog.
You may view all the card information, including closer views of the cards, changes that can be made to the cards, ordering info, and pricing here: 2009 holiday card collection. This is a permanent page on the bsquared blog and can also be found by clicking on the bsquared info link on the top of the blog, and follow the drop down menu to the cards link.
Here’s a peek at all the collections. There are quite a few this year, something for everyone:
I’d love to hear what you think of this year’s choices. Leave me a comment if you’d like.

7 for Sunday
Ok, I haven’t dissapeared off the face of the planet. Just been busy and have no new shoot to post (I do have shoots to edit however- 12 of them to be exact- but don’t have anything new done to post yet). So, here’s a 7 for Sunday post to tide you blog stalkers over til I can post something new.
Pictures of the sunset thrown in for your viewing pleasure…
1. I am officially ON VACATION!! No more shoots until September!!!!! And although my calendar says that bsquared is closed for August, that’s not entirely true. I’m just not shooting, but still have plenty of editing, paperwork, scheduling shoots, emails to answer, shoots to post, holiday cards to post, etc. So I’ll be working, but not shooting. Today was the first day I went to the beach on a Saturday (and not for a shoot) this year. It was fabulous!
2. My last shoot (Friday night) was the perfect way to end the year so far. I did a little shoot for The Turn. Brian and Pat were in town playing and we needed some new pictures for upcoming posters and promo cards. They are just getting better and better and rocked the hell out of the crowd at Longhorns. I can’t wait til my birthday party where the whole band will be playing! Here’s a little sneak peek :
3. I was brushing Timmy’s hair in the mirror friday night after his tub. He took one look at himself and said “yeaaaaaaahh”. The kid cracks me up.
4. Visited with an old friend on Friday (friday was a very busy day). He was on Long Island and came by for a visit. It was so great catching up and reliving old memories. I love that there’s someone else who gets things from the past that no one else does. We’ve been friends since I’m 15 years old. That’s a lot of memories. Wish I had taken a picture but I was so busy visiting that I forgot!
5. Fished out some old notes from high school for the above visit for laughs. And it made me realize how sad it is that this generation will not have notes and letters to save (and I saved everything) from friends. Everything is email and texting. Even pictures are mostly digital- on phones, on computers. The pictures and notes I dug up are priceless to me. I even found two from my friend John Crapo who died this year unexpectedly. Now that’s all that’s left of him because I never saved any of the emails we exchanged later in life. Sad.
6. We will be leaving on the annual baseball trip on Monday for about a week. Yes, I am going. No, I am not happy about it. At all. We will be visiting Pittsburgh, Cinncinatti, Clevland & Detroit with baseball games at each location. Bet your ass I’m bringing the Kindle. There will be significant reading in each park cause that’s the only thing I can do there without attempting suicide. The only high points: visiting the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and The Christmas Story house (yes, Ralphie’s house with the leg lamp in the window) in Cleveland, and seeing our friends in Michigan. But that’s it. I’ll most likely be on FB non stop. And checking emails. So send me something good to read so I’m not ripping my hair out. Why couldn’t we like Hockey instead? That, I would love!
7. From January-July 2009, I have shot 97 different families/events/occassions. I have now booked 52 shoots so far for the fall with spaces still available and some pending bookings. Holy crap. No wonder I’m so tired.
I am hoping to still be posting while I’m away. I’m working on editing some shoots to schedule to post automatically, so keep checking back my loyal blog stalkers.
And one thought/beth trivia to leave you with: those fake, limparmed, barelythere hugs suck and frankly, piss me off. Give me a real hug with a squeeze anytime!

big wave movie night & a little biz
The country club we belong to has a movie night every summer where all the kids get to into the pool with floats (the float thing is ‘outlawed’ in the pool the rest of the year) and they play a movie on the BIG screen over the pool. We went again this year and John’s business partner and his family joined us, just like last year.
And just like last year, we had a great time! Lots of pictures. Surprising, I know.
Just floating. Here in the pool. (my favorite line from the movie The Graduate)
Timmy’s swimming skills are improving but he still kinda sinks like a stone. He’s taking lessons this year at Hempstead which are great. But the kid has no fear whatsoever. Last weekend he jumped into the big pool at the beach with no swimmies and no adult. Ahhh…dude? You can’t swim!
Love this one.
And this one too.
My ‘new’ friend Suzanne and part of her family. She is one of those people that we should have been friends for a long time but just never ran into eachother until….Facebook.
And a little bit of bsquared business: As of last night, there are only 9 spots left in September (plus one day of mini sessions in the park) and 2 spotsleft in October (with a day of mini sessions in the park). Still plenty left in November. Here’s the link to the most updated calendar: http://www.bsquaredphotography.net/?page_id=3635
One last thing…my friends and the owners of bcauseisaidso are selling out all of their current inventory as they are revamping their offerings for the fall. You can see some of their shirts here and here. There are also fun mommy thongs and other products as well. Their shirts are on sale for 1/2 off (a great deal) and at previous parties people have been scooping up the shirts by the handfull. The shirts make great gifts for birthdays and newborns. They are having another party this Friday 7/31 from 9:30am-12pm in Rockville Centre. If you are interested in going, just email me at bbeyrer1@optonline.net for address details.
