the arle family {with video your shoot}
There are about a thousand pictures from this shoot to post, so get comfy cause this is gonna be a long one…
I’m sure you will remember this VERY fun family from past shoots (and mom & dad are in the shopping cart on the blog header above). They never dissapoint! Between the props, the laughs, and the poses…they bring it! And then I capture it. While laughing thru the whole shoot. It still amazes me that I get one non-blurry photo cause I’m always laughing with camera shake!
Where to begin with the deer? I think words just escape me. Completely speechless.
When they opened their trunk and I saw the decapitated deer, well… what exactly was I supposed to say?? Except (Janice- this one’s for you!) “Oh, deeeeeer!”
There were Christmas wreaths, lollipops, candycanes, and deer parts, all mixed in with this fun family. It was a good combination. Crazy, but good!
And as it turns out Mom chose the same song as I have on our family shoot. Funny! So make sure you have your sound on…

This is my videographer, Jerry, the guy behind all the fabulous ‘video your shoot’ movies that have been on the blog since September, and his awesome family who I adore photographing.
It was my 3rd time taking the kids pictures and I always have a great time with them. Even if they think I’m mean and yell at them! (ok, to clarify…at our first shoot, the kids were playing with a stick in their yard and mom (not me) asked them to put it down a zillion times to no avail. Finally, getting totally frustrated, mom (not me)ripped the stick out of their hands and threw it across the backyard. The result of this was tears from the kids. Tons and tons of tears. Over the stick. So, being the mom and photographer that I am I had to take a picture of them hysterically crying. Which their mom loved and it’s still hanging on their fridge to this day. So, somehow the kids forgot the fact that their MOM (not me) is the one who yelled and took their stick away.) So now they think I’m mean. Great.
We had a good time, nonetheless (well, unless they were just scared that I would yell at them) and it was quite interesting watching Jerry go back and forth between videographer and daddy/subject.
Aren’t they so cute? And I loved the jewel tones- they all looked so good!
Mom is a bit under the weather this week so I am hoping this blog post, pictures and video do something to help cheer her up. Feel better, E. And please remind your children that it wasn’t me who yelled at them!!
Jerry and I have a bunch of shoots together this weekend so be on the lookout for a few more videos coming soon.
Make sure your sound is on.

the meri family
This was a super fun family which = a super fun shoot.
We rode around in golf carts on a beautiful golf course (their club) on a fantastic morning. How cool is my job? Really.
As soon as mom and I saw eachother we knew we knew eachother from someplace. We had it within 15 minutes- the beach club.
The kids were so cute and fun and up for anything I suggested. I guess riding in golf carts, running all over the golf course, jumping, rolling, golfing, football and playing in the leaves wasn’t too much to ask of them!
When mom and dad agreed to roll down the hill too? I think I fell in love a little! Even in her fabulous white pants, mom did it and did it well!! (but I was only allowed one roll- had to get it in the first take!)
I’m going to let the rest of the post go to the pictures and the video. Yup, this family added on the ‘video your shoot’ option…so perfect for them too!
Hope you enjoy your pictures and video as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Make sure your sound is on.

the pear family
I think I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve taken pictures for this family. Which is totally okay with me cause I love photographing them!
The oldest of the girls had a really loose tooth (like hanging by a thread loose) which she lots like 2 days after the shoot. Such a lovely little young lady.
The newly minted middle girl is such a little cutie pie. She and Timmy are in the same preschool class and are apparently pretty good friends.
And the baby has changed and grown since we did her newborn shoot. She’s delicious and I loved her even more cause my stupid tricks made her smiley.
We had some jumping and twirling in some perfect jumpingtwirly dresses.
So cute. Ridiculously so.
Looks like we took a quick trip upstate for this shot!
They chose to do the ‘video your shoot’ add on, and I think they are going to be really happy that they did. Make sure you have your sound on.

the boeh family
I’ve been photographing these lovelies since the baby was a newborn. In fact, she was my first ‘baby on a bookshelf’ shot, ever. And now, they are both big girls and just as much fun to photograph as they were in the beginning- probably even more so.
They are so gorgeous. All of them.
We had some issues with the swan, but he sure looked good in the pictures. He was well behaved, just a little scary.
We had lots of fun in the park. So glad I got Daddy to do this shot!
And I’m also happy to report that this family opted for a ‘video your shoot’. So please check out their video with Jerry with stills from me, below. Make sure your sound is on. And get your tissues.
