“super” cheryl
First, happy 2025! Hoping this year brings us all happiness, health and peace (and some photo shoots with me, of course!). Secondly, contrary to my lack of posting anything bsquared for quite a while, I’m alive. Each year the time seems to fly faster, especially in the fall. Maybe that’s just an old age thing at this point.
Finally, getting back into posting all my 2024 sessions now that the holidays have passed and I won’t be ruining any christmas cards surprises or anything. Starting with my kick-ass friend since childhood, Cheryl. She wanted to celebrate her 55th birthday, 25th cancer survivor anniversary and some “feelings of good” with a photoshoot. Of course, I was more than happy to oblige! Cheryl chose to wear a few outfits that she felt good in- including her favorite superhero wonder woman costume. Cause if being a survivor of 25 years isn’t wonder womanish, I don’t know what is. Her husband Nick jumped in for a few shots with his super hero wife. Wishing Cheryl a million more years of health and ass-kicking!

bridget & eamon get engaged
So many congratulations to the happy couple! Eamon proposed to Bridget in September on the beach in Long Beach. Because seeing me would have ruined the surprise, I hid with Bridget’s sister Emily under the boardwalk (do not recommend) until they made it down to the jetty and Eamon got on a knee. We hung out and shot a little more after the proposal. And of course, there’s always time for ice cream!!

katelin & cody engagement session
After being gifted a session from Kate’s sister as an engagement gift (what a thoughtful sister!) we met up at one of my favorite locations for a shoot. We figured out that one of Cody’s co-workers was in my wedding party (small world!). Lets not even discuss that they look like their 12. We had lots of fun at our session, they were so great to photograph! Wishing them much love and happiness in their future together!

carolyn & daniel get engaged
A brand new to me couple who I got to photograph for a really special evening. We really lucked out because the lighting was awesome and a huge storm was rolling in just as we were wrapping up. It made for a very windy shoot but with the awesome skies and light (not to mention the awesome couple!) we made some pretty pictures! It was crazy how one side of the sky was all blue and the other was like the end of the world was coming. Wishing them clear skies ahead and love to weather thru the storms together!

molly & cody get engaged!
I was so excited to photograph this gorgeous couple’s proposal/engagement! Molly’s mom contacted me and put me in touch with Cody. We worked out the details of the surprise (complete with map). I even parked on a street a few blocks away since my car is very identifyable and I didn’t want to ruin the surprise! Oddly enough, my EXACT car was parked down the block from the beach entrance- what are the odds??-but at least it wasn’t mine! I hid behind a bunch of volleyball players until Cody was down at the water with Molly and got on bended knee. Of course she said YES! A bunch of family met them down on the beach to celebrate and then there was a big (surprise. To Molly.) engagement party back at their home. It all went off without a hitch. I am so happy for them and know they’ll be so happy together!
