jesse’s christening
A special day for a special little baby boy. For those of you who follow along at home, you’ll know this is the baby boy who’s birth I photographed back in July. So after seeing him take his first ever breaths, I’m always extra excited to see him again. His mom Jenn is the most fabulous event planner so of course, nothing was held back for his Christening “journey”. From the invitations, to the treat bar, to every. single. detail of the day something special was there.

maeve’s christening
This family came to me thru a referral from a photografriend Jaye of The Life In Your Years photography, and I was so thrilled to be able to take pictures for them (thanks Jaye!!). The family is actually from Texas, but mom grew up in Westchester and they always come “home” to christen their babies. I had a great time with them for the day- I loved that mom was interested in candids and moments- right up my alley. Baby Maeve was beautiful, a total gerber baby and really hung in there before going down for a much needed nap after church.
The priest was the pied piper of babies. Had little Maeve entranced the entire time.My favorite picture of the day. See…entranced. Maeve’s big sister Agnes looking on. There is a BIG story behind that little bunny named TeTe. Its going viral. TeTe went missing in the DFW airport on their way home and poor Agnes cries for him every night and so far he’s nowhere to be found. Her parents are offering a reward for anyone who finds TeTe and returns him. You can find the link to the story here. Nannie just turned 90 a week before- doesn’t she look amazing?!And back to mom’s parents house for a little party.Giving me her best dinosaur. On the right, she was singing “Let It Go” at the top of her lungs, with all the movements and everything. So adorable and spot on!Dying of this one, especially the hair!
Best friends!A little ring around the rosy to end the day. Something kinda magical about little girls and holding hands. -
kay’s christening
A special christening for a special baby girl who’s family comes in to NY from their home in Chicago for each of their children’s baptisms. Last time it was their twin girls being baptized at their grandmother’s parish in Queens, and this time it was their newest baby Kay being baptized in her grandfather’s parish in Brooklyn. (there is a chance that I might have the grandparents and their parishes interchanged, so just bear with me on those details!) Like last time, there was family joining them all the way from Ireland to celebrate their day. Its always great to see the whole family, and thank you Eileen for being patient waiting for your pictures!
Beautiful church, beautiful baby.Godmother.Proud parents and godparents.

robby’s christening
Getting closer to being caught up, but not quite there yet. Robby (who’s newborn session I did a few months ago) was christened a few weeks back at St Raymond and then celebrated with a big party back at his parents house. It was a lovely, but really hot, day and for the short time I was there it looked like everyone was having a great day, even Robby!
I love his chubby cheeks.
Not thrilled w the anointing process, and poor big sister Natalie looks worried. He was fine within seconds and went right back to sleep. The big moment. Which he slept thru. Now that’s one happy, blessed baby!
Yes, this is their backyard. The whole thing. Looks like an amusement park, right? So much of it (or possibly all of it) was destroyed during Sandy with the water in the river coming up so high it flooded their house too. But it’s gorgeous and perfect again after a ton of hard work. Dad HATES getting his picture taken. This was perhaps the only time in my history of knowing this family that I didn’t have to remind him to smile. Knowing nothing about workshops myself even I could tell this one is beyond amazing. I love his neatness and organization. There’s a fire pit under that table. Cousins.Besties. One of the owners of my dog I no longer own. Adorbs.I’m sure you remember this handsome boy from his christening and party. The next two pictures weren’t set up, but are so perfect. Besties and besties- the mothers to the daughters.

kieran’s christening- part 2
Time for the party! A big shout out to Jennifer Evans Events for the fantastic party styling. (and I’m even more excited cause Jenn is coordinating Timmy’s Communion in just a few weeks!) Loved the whole nautical theme- Kieran’s dad is a big fisherman! Everyone had a great time and I’m sure you’ll find lots of familiar faces in the crowd. The party was held at the Coral House– they did a fantastic job on the renovations, the new owners are as nice as can be and the food was terrific!
A few of the details:A ton of games and crafts for the kids. The happiest, happy family! This is the whole immediate family. Mom & Dad with all their children, spouses and grandchildren. I always loooove watching them dance!A moving speech by the godmother, with tears and everything.
The man of the hour. Love his bow tie and little face. Beautiful, beautiful. A family dance to wrap up the beautiful afternoon.
