kailey’s communion
All roads in life lead back to Mary Ellen. Not only did she give me like 75% of my initial clients when I started my photography business, but she knows everyone! When I took Timmy to the allergist, the receptionist happens to be Mary Ellen’s sister’s mother in law (she recognized my name and asked if I photographed her grandchildren, which I did.) Things like that happen all the time, and all roads lead back to Mary Ellen. So you’ll see a ton of bsquared families in this post. And besides, she’s just the nicest, sweetest, funnest and kindest person I know!
Her daughter Kailey celebrated her first communion last weekend and it was all perfect and beautiful. Especially Kailey!!
She’s stunning- in either black & white, or color!
Mary Ellen told me that while she and Kailey were at church for communion rehearsal, Kailey leaned over and whispered “you got Beth Beyrer, right?” I do love her so!! My favorite part was when I came back during the party and I was greeted by her little face lighting up and a big hug! Then she asked me to take pictures of her with her friends. And I love her even more!!The one with grandpa was totally unposed. Caught it just as he was coming up the porch steps. Not technically perfect, but perfectly lovely. That little man is just so delicious. He screams ‘nibble me!!’Not a detail was missed.
The party was great! The closest I’ve gotten to a smile from this one. That’s my ‘wifey’ on the right… love ya, H!! Always wonderful to work with you!! Mostly cause it never really feels like work!

the slat family {& tiffany’s christening}
A new to bsquared family, but one that I’ve known thru all the boys. Their second oldest is in class with the big boys and their second youngest is in class with Timmy. They were celebrating their newest addition’s Christening (in style, I might add- do you love all the Tiffany stuff for little Miss Tiffany?! I knew it was going to be a great shoot after seeing the whole family’s coordinating outfits and the Tiffany bags set up just for me!)
Isn’t she just a beautiful baby?!
The same face. Four beautiful blonde girls. You know I love some baby feet. And baby feet in a row with a ton of fabulous shoes? Even better! My first time seeing a baby roll her eyes. As in, what are you doing to me?!Ridiculously good looking family! Thanks for a great session- hope the Christening and party were wonderful!

the stac christening
I was so happy when mom booked me to photograph her little girl’s christening. Photographing christenings is always so much fun for me, especially when I get to be there for THE moment in the church. Little miss M did wonderfully, no crying at all. And priest was the funniest, most easy going priest I have ever seen. He was all about getting the mass done timely so everyone could get out to watch the Jets game and he was so good with all the kids there, having them come up to the font and explaining about the water. The best joke of the day? “How do you get water to become holy water? Boil the hell out of it.” Ha!
She is perfect, isn’t she? And mom had the christening gown hanging right there in the window when I walked in. Just for me. Do my clients rock (and know me so well) or what?A few fun ones- the chaos of 3 littles and getting everyone ready to head to church and a party all while trying to look relaxed and calm. Ahhh, life. No doubt you will recognize a few of the faces here. Mary Ellen and Kenny were standing in for Miss M’s godparents who couldn’t be there for the Christening. Unfortunately, Sara (the godmother) was in the hospital with preterm labor with her 5th baby and was then sent home on bedrest and a terbutaline pump. Been there, done that and I feel terrible for her. But I hope she can enjoy the pictures from her bed today- and Sara you’d better be laying your butt down!!!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures and thank you so much for letting me be there for Miss M’s special day!

the owen christening
Ok, so they were on the blog very recently for their holiday card photos, but here they are again for their baby’s Christening. You know they are one of my favorite families, so you’ll just have to muddle through another owen family post (again, with lots of familiar faces).
He’s beautiful.
And so is his big sister. Love this one- he’s looking at me like ‘are you sure this is what’s supposed to be going on here?’And off to the big event. So psyched I caught a couple of water droplets. Miss K and her godparents, Mr B and his. Grandma & Grandpa and all their grandchildren. (all familiar faces, here!)Wishing you many blessings everyday my friends! Love to all of you!!

the onde christening
I had the pleasure of photographing this littlest guy’s christening. I’ve been lucky enough to take photos for this family a few times now and was so happy to meet and photograph their newest addition.
His godmother got to help with the dressing in the over 100 year old communion gown. This little guy just adores his godfather already- he stared at him and smiled at him the whole time he was putting on the cross. So cute.
Fighting the lighting and the rules in church, not to mention the very badly placed (for me) pillars, I still got a few of the actual baptism which always makes me happy. He was such a brave boy and didn’t cry at all. So good!
And the smell after the baby is annointed with the oil- love that!! I touched his head while trying to position him a little and my hands smelled like that oil the rest of the day. Nice.
The oldest boy is also making his First Communion soon (if it didn’t happen already) so I grabbed a few shots of him in his communion suit since he was all dressed up.
Thanks for letting me meet your newest addition and having me out to capture his special day. Many blessings to all of you!
