happy 5th birthday, Timmy!!
Here’s the birthday boy, proudly showing off something he made last week for his birthday (with help from Miss Andrea- thanks Miss Andrea!!)
He’s having a great birthday so far, following the tradition of having a candle in every meal complete with singing (in a bowl of cereal at breakfast, and a pizza bagel at lunch). And is playing lots of Wii with his brothers, getting ready for his party this afternoon.
I told him that I was a little sad (but really happy too) that he was growing up so much. And he told me “Don’t worry, mommy. I’ll still be me.” Melt.
He’s the best, most amazing, sweet and funny 5 year old. Ever. Happy Birthday, Timmyboo. I love you SO much!!

Timmy’s birthday ‘vegetable’- part 1
Let the birthday vegetable festivities begin! (for those of you who don’t know the origin of the bday vegetable, we have always had weeklong ‘birthday festivals’ for the boys, with parties, special dinners, etc. and when Timmy was really little when he said birthday festival it sounded exactly like birthday vegetable. So there you have it.)
Timmy celebrated his birthday (which is actually tomorrow) at school yesterday. I don’t think ANYONE, ever, in the history of the world of birthdays has been more excited about their birthday than he is! And everyone comments on it!
He really only likes Oreo cookies. No muchkins, no brownies, definitely no cake. So we made it work and brought Oreos in for the class. No one seemed to protest.
Bossing everyone around.
And my favorite expression on the right.
On the way out of the classroom, he announces “make way for the birthday boy! birthday boy coming thru!” See, excited!!! His party is tomorrow and I just hope his head doesn’t pop off from anticipation prior to that.

the evan suprise 30th birthday
It’s just party central here on the bsquared blog the last few days. Weddings, birthday celebrations, it’s all good. Still have a double 50th anniversary to edit and blog so be on the lookout for that soon. Party central, I’m telling ya.
I had done some work on a thank you card for J & S’s wedding (I didn’t take the pictures, just made the card) and was so excited when she got in touch with me to shoot the party that she put together for her husband’s 30th birthday. I knew it would be so fabulous from start to end with every detail perfect. And it was.
The surprise was pulled off without a hitch. From getting the text that he arrived to everyone yelling- he had no idea!
Some shots of the guests and details. Enjoy the top to bottom fabulousness of the party. I’m sure you’ll recognize several of the guests from other blog posts.
Thanks J and S for letting me photograph your evening. I had a great time and J- get started on that party planning business. Seriously.

z & a’s 40 (and fabulous) birthday dinner
Before I write anything else, I just wanted to point out that they are, in fact, identical twins. I am saying this because a few months back a blog stalker to whom I am related (no names- mom) saw Andrea’s pictures on the blog at her son’s communion. This person (mom) then called me and said “hey, that girl on the blog is so pretty and looks so much like zoraida!” Ummm, yeah. That might be because she is Zoraida’s identical twin? Just sayin, mom.
Anyway, the sisters celebrated their fabulous 40th birthday party at Besito mexican restaurant in Huntington with a dinner for family. Had to squeeze in a teeny tiny shoot for the birthday girls in all their birthday awesomeness.
What are you girls up to? Especially you Z- what’s with the knife??
Totally fabulous! Rawr.
Some of the family.
Thanks for asking me to come and take some pictures at your party. You girls are seriously great and I wish you the happiest 40th year!

beth’s 40th {the photobooth shots}
So…waaaaaay back in September, I hit the big 4-0. (Still can’t believe that). I decided to throw myself a giant birthday party, just cause. So I did. With tons of family and friends at Sun & Surf Beach Club. And because I’m a big brat picture girl, I had to have a photobooth. A real, old school one. So I did. Along with my parents who made that my present- thank you!!!
I haven’t even started editing the ‘regular’ pictures from the party, even though it’s been almost 4 months. (alright, I’ve been a little busy with holiday season starting before the party and not ending til now). I did finally get around to editing these though cause there wasn’t much to do with them other than to get them saved for the blog.
Here are some of the shots from the night and a who’s who of whos with who.
My boys thoroughly enjoyed the photobooth. A lot. Which is suprising and kinda annoying cause they are really done with me and my camera. But this, they did over and over. And over. All night!
Love that teeny little head!!
When they were done hogging it up, they brought others in with them. Like me.
And Uncle Nelson and Grandma & Grandpa
Stephanie (who was on Timmy-duty for the evening and took all the boys home when they were done)
Some of the Beyrer contingent.
Chris & Laura (who made the unfortunate mistake of telling Billy to “bring it on” for his antics at her wedding. She didn’t realize quite how unfortunate this mistake would be until the mooning and cartwheels in a kilt began in the middle of her reception, plus the 3 rounds of ‘up your pipe’ sang by all the Beyrers in attendance at the wedding. Poor girl.)
Inez & Gail (my sisters in law) and Inez & Joe Beyrer. Clowns.
Jen & Mike (Jen did all the flowers for my party! She’s working on starting her own floral business) and Billy & Aunt Maureen.
My inlaws. And my father in law. I caught him going in there a few times on his own. He’s such a good model for me cause he REALLY likes getting his picture taken!
Joe & Aunt Miss Gail on a big night out without baby James. And my friend Gina & me. Gina is a great friend and a fabulous massuesse. She keeps asking me how the rock collection in my back is doing. The tenser I get the closer my shoulders sit to my ears! She’s helped me out a few times over the last few months, making me make time for a massage. Thanks G!
My parents. Who I love and who I love extra cause they are letting us stay with them in sunny, warm, snowfree Florida for 2 whole weeks!!!
Pete & Chrissy. John & Rosanna. I think beach whenever I see them, cause that’s where I see them most! Funny, I have a picture of John with his finger up his nose from his daughter’s First Communion in 2009. I’m sensing a trend…
Eileen & Jerry. Mary Ellen & Kenny. Jerry is the videographer who films all the fabulous bsquared ‘video your shoot’ spots that you’ve seen on the blog. And our friends Mare and Kenny who we never fail to have a great time with- even faced with snowball fights inside the car and on ridiculous commutes to NJ Meadowlands to see U2!
Ray & Maureen. Jen & Kenny. Playgroup friends since the big boys and their kids were together in Gymboree in 1999!
George (aka Mr. Incredible) & Tricia. He sells insurance and everything! And they are the parents of John’s oldest and first goddaughter. Bruce & Kathy. They were recently featured here on the blog with their children and grandchildren. They are always fun!
Jane & Tom. They liked it so much, they went in twice!
Jimmy & Ro. Brian & Maryann. Jimmy and John have been friends for a loooong time (fire dept, bartenting) and Brian is one of John’s partners at work.
Sharon & David. My youngest son’s future inlaws. Can’t wait til that wedding. Do you know how many pictures we’ll have documenting their whole lives together!? Even embarrassing ones of the parents!
Robbie & me. Joe & Robin. Robin’s my BFF from Miami (hence the U hands). For those of you following along, their baby was born at 26 weeks and is doing SO fantastic and is now a total chubster at 8 months. We have plans to get together in January so there will be some new pix of Eoin soon. Oh, and we got some ‘canes over here…whoot whoot.
Lynn & Rolf. Garrett & Susan. I love, love, love it when clients turn into friends. Or sorta co-workers in Garrett’s case.
Mr. Mark & Caron. They own Rockville Camera and are just awesome people. And they gave me my new-old Mac. They rock!
Marianne & Vinny. Too cute for words.
Mary Ellen & Eileen. Ivy & me. We’ve been friends since we’re 9 years old. Thats a crazy, crazy long time!
Are you pictured out yet? No? There’s more…
Jane & me. Kevin & Diana.
Beth & Marianne. Mary Ellen, Sharon & Me. With a special guest appearance by Eileen. In both sets.
Rosanna & Chrissy. Sharon & me. Rawr.
Dawn & Sue. Sue & Angela. Dawn & Sue were my BFF’s in high school. So, so glad we’ve reconnected. Yes, on FB.
Timmy-boo. John & me. I told him to make the crazy eyes, but he didn’t so now I look like the insane one. Great.
Sue, Dawn & Jen. Dawn & Jen. Apparently, no one could get Dawn out of the photobooth.
Dawn & Angela. Sisters. See what I mean about not getting Dawn out of the booth!?
Brian, Pat (of The Turn fame) & me. The band played my party and were awesome as always. Dawn, Sue & me. Together again. Feels like yesterday we were being goofy at one of our Sweet 16s. Now it’s goofy for 40ths!!
Beth, Zoraida & me. Beth & Marianne. Don’t get too close to Marianne when she’s excited about something. She’ll hit you. Hard. Or maybe give you a map. Or two different shoes. And Beth who second shoots all my weddings with me and is a fanastic friend all the time.
That’s it for the photobooth pictures. I’ll get the rest of the pictures from the party up. Eventually. And the thank you notes I still owe everyone? How about February? That’s only 5 months late. Oops.
So sad vacation is over- two weeks seemed like a long time but it’s not long enough. Flying home today. Well, that’s the plan unless of course we go down in a firey plane crash further fueled by psycho terrorists trying to explode their underwear on the plane. It could happen…
