I was so excited to photograph this gorgeous couple’s proposal/engagement! Molly’s mom contacted me and put me in touch with Cody. We worked out the details of the surprise (complete with map). I even parked on a street a few blocks away since my car is very identifyable and I didn’t want to ruin the surprise! Oddly enough, my EXACT car was parked down the block from the beach entrance- what are the odds??-but at least it wasn’t mine! I hid behind a bunch of volleyball players until Cody was down at the water with Molly and got on bended knee. Of course she said YES! A bunch of family met them down on the beach to celebrate and then there was a big (surprise. To Molly.) engagement party back at their home. It all went off without a hitch. I am so happy for them and know they’ll be so happy together!
Their ceremony was so lovely and was performed by a cousin who is also clergy (so it was all legal and stuff). Their vows to each other were beautiful and there wasn’t a dry eye on the beach. They hit up the Allegria Hotel afterwards for some drinks and dancing. Pretty much a perfect “elopement”, locally! Wishing them many years of happiness!
The kids were definitely a big part of the celebrations for the wedding and really had a great time playing with their cousins in the rain on the beach, dancing and watching their mom & Charles tie the knot! Wishing the whole family and the upcoming new baby lots of happiness always!
After an attack by the most annoying, rotten birds ever that stole all of the food (not even kidding) while we were setting everything up, we put the chef’s vision together on the beach for a little picnic. And then I ate all the pancakes. Tell me that little seating arrangement under the umbrella isn’t calling you with a glass of wine (or several) and a good book. If there’s Brie, then that’s for me!
It was a crazy windy day but really, it just added to the fun, beachy, girls having fun vibe for Chrissy’s bachelorette party. And did they ever have fun! Chrissy’s fiance Tom booked me as the “surprise gift” for her party to capture some of their fun before heading off to dinner. Such a great idea and so glad I was able to fit it in! The girls were told to be “colorful”- they totally understood the assignment. Congratulations to Chrissy & Tom!
