jessica & ian- the portraits
So, it was like the hottest day. Ever, I think. It was close to 100 degrees with matching humidity readings. But I have the very best brides and grooms, ever, I think, and they did all they could to pull off a perfect portrait session. And pulled it off they did. A lot.
I loooooooved the checkered cab. Made for fabulous pictures and it was just plain cool.
Handsome groom. With thoughts of a dirty water dog before dinner, perhaps. Their ‘baby’ Charlie the dog stopped by for a little lovin and some pictures too. How cute is he?The shot on the left was fun- stopping traffic (well, NYC traffic doesn’t exactly stop- they just went around us, with horns blasting) to get the shot. This lovely lady is Ian’s 95 year old grandmother. Isn’t she fabulous?! And really does not look close to 95. Love the guy in the background snapping a picture too. I sat down on the dark cement to get the shot on the right and seriously burnt my butt it was SO hot. Favorite- so something 1960’s classic about this one. Reception to follow shortly. Stay tuned.

jessica & ian- the ceremony
At a beautiful church in the Village. With an old school NYC checker cab. With a beautiful bride and handsome groom. And lots of family and friends in attendance. What else is there?
Love Jessica’s expression here on seeeing Ian. Watching his bride come down the aisle.
And, they’re married!! I even got to sign the marriage license (see, full service photography!). Portraits up next. Maybe early next week. -
jessica & ian- getting ready
I was very busy with super fabulous weddings the first half of this year, and this was one definitely no exception. Jessica found me thru some mutual friends of her sister and brother in law and I was so excited to capture her wonderfully special day all over downtown NYC.
We first met at the Grammercy Park Hotel where Jessica was getting ready and where the rest of her family and some friends met up.
What a beautiful bride!! I loved, loved, LOVED her dress and cathedral length veil.
Sisters. Fabulousness.
Stay tuned for the next installment of Jessica & Ian’s wedding- the ceremony. Tomorrow. -
jon & bianca- a little sneak peek
A super fun and crazy wedding I shot earlier this summer. I know the bride and groom are waiting patiently for their pictures, so here’s one tiny sneak peek. More to come soon…

vince & michael’s wedding
I had the pleasure of photographing my first gay wedding up in Connecticut last week and I’m happy to be able to share a few pictures with you. But only a few, as they are saving up the ceremony pictures and portraits for display at their reception to be held in August (which I will also be photographing!)
Ok, really…I have to get one of those shirts. They are awesome!!
The ceremony was held at the Green Rocks Inn in Ridgefield, CT. And it was so lovely, calm, and welcoming there. The ladies who run it were absolutely fantastic and wonderful, without a detail missed from anything- the ceremony, the grounds, the decor inside, and their total love of what they do. I worked with Vince (on the right) in my other life back at Jimlar and was so happy when he told me he was marrying Michael. And that he wanted me to photograph everything!! They make a great couple and are so perfect for eachother. They couldn’t have been more happy and were so thrilled to be able to get legally married. The happy couple. The ceremony was beautiful and perfect. And they were so handsome and photogenic. After the reception in August, I’ll be able to post some of those ceremony pictures too, so stay tuned. I just wanted to add that if any of my blog readers/stalkers have anything negative to say about gay marraige, I would appreciate it very much if you would refrain from posting it on the blog. Vince (and now Michael too) are my friends and (obviously) I am very supportive of gay marriage and believe everyone should have the same rights. Of course everyone is welcome to their opinion, I would just like to have only positive, supportive comments here on the blog for them to read. Thank you!
