7 for Sunday
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, and it’s been quite a week.
1. Because of all the ridiculous rain and having to reschedule tons of shoots, I’ve worked every day this week (except Saturday because…well…it rained! Again!!) I have a full- full day of shooting today, ending up in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Should be fun, but exhausting!
2. We’ve been at the orthodontist three times this week (twice during school) as Jack has ripped his palate expander out of his mouth with his tongue for the 3rd time. Thankfully, we were finished expanding and were just waiting to put in a palate bar to hold the expansion. But…because of his lovely habit, they had to remove the expander and give him an invisiline type retainer (that cost $150) that he will wear for 4 days (and only 4 days…for $150. Excellent.) until the palate bar arrives on Thursday. But we go back on Tuesday for spacers so he can’t wear the retainer thing after getting those in. If he rips the bar out, I’m ripping his tongue out.
3. We’re waiting for the rest of the Halloween Costumes to come in. They had better be here soon! Patrick is going to be a CitiField vendor, Jack and MLB Umpire, and Timmy Woody from ToyStory.
4. The big boys had a field trip to the Mineola courts this week and they both loved it. They both told the court officer (who thought the same kid came on both days-didn’t realize they were twins) that law runs in their family. Which it does and a lot of it has rubbed off on them apparently. They are so smart. Scary smart.
5. The client orders and Christmas Cards are pouring in and going out so fast. Beth W came over and helped me pack the 18 orders I had this week. Here’s what my dining room looks like these days.
6. We booked our first Disney Vacation Club trip for February and I can’t wait. Gotta call this week for dining, you know, in my free time.
7. A quick sneak peek from Nancy & Jesse’s wedding I shot last weekend. Unfortunately, being in the middle of my busiest time of the year, it’ll be a bit until I can get to editing their pictures. So I thought a little sneak peek would be a nice treat to hold them over.

the wynn rehearsal dinner
I’ve known the bride for about 10 years ever since we met at Sun & Surf where she worked in the office. She ended up being the big boys very first babysitter. So when she asked me to take some pre and post wedding pictures, I was thrilled to do it!
I’m happy to say that I adore her fiance. They make a fantastic couple and there’s no doubt how happy they are together.
Snapped some at the church rehearsal and then at the restaurant for the dinner.
There were lots of presents from the bride & groom, lots of kids (can’t wait to hear how that went in the church!!), lots of family and friends. And most importantly lots of love.
Thanks for letting me share in your evening. Can’t wait for you guys to get back from your honeymoon for our Trash The Dress session!!

garrett & susan: the day after
First off, it’s not really the day after. It was more like two weeks after the wedding that we went and did a trash the dress shoot (without actually trashing the dress though, so no worries there). They had just gotten back from their honeymoon, still all tan and relaxed.
Ok, this rates up there with one of the best shoots. Ever.
First stop, the refurbished Nunley’s Carousel. Ahh- yummy much? Do you know that it goes pretty fast, especially when you aren’t holding on to anything cause you need both hands on your camera? (please excuse the vast number of pictures here…they were all SO awesome, I couldn’t narrow it down)
Then on to a thousand delicious little locations all around that area.
Was so happy I found a shopping cart- and even moreso that Susan was all game to hop in! Dosen’t she look like she’s in a bubble bath?
Love it all! Beautiful bride.
She’s a nurse, he is manager at the camera store I live at work with. Had to make sure that was represented.
Thanks for hanging with me again for lots more pictures. Did I mention that I LOVED this shoot?? To see all the images, please click HERE.

ivy & steve’s wedding- part 2 (ceremony & reception)
Some reception details:
The venue (H on the Harbor in Pt. Washington) was so cool and trendy. Way Miami Beach with the neon and white couches and lounge areas. And the food was awesome- all passed little delicious things plus a sushi bar. Yum!
All before the ceremony with the excitement building.
The ceremony was so great!! They laughed and smiled their way thru the whole thing (as did all their guests). Ivy was giggling like crazy and busted out with “I just never thought we would actually get here!!”. This was Steve’s reaction:
Lots from the ceremony. The kids stood up there with their parents for the whole thing and played an important part in the vows.
Love the mom’s of the bride and the groom celebrating.
And time to party:
Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Italy (jealous, much?). Love you guys. Many congrats and wishes for only happiness for you all!

ivy & steve’s wedding- part 1 (getting ready)
Ivy and I have been friends since we’re 8 years old. Hebrew school, sleep away camp (yay Sequoia!), school, marraiges, kids, tons of inside jokes….everything. So I was of course beyond thrilled when she and Steve got engaged. He’s such a great guy and the two families have meshed so well. I was just so elated to see Ivy and the kids so happy!
And I was even happier that Ivy asked me to take pictures at their wedding last month. I knew it would be a bit of a challenge (but who dosen’t love a challenge) cause Ivy LOVES taking pictures but Steve? Steve does NOT love taking pictures. At all. He was good though and really was very patient with me and my camera. Thanks, Steve.
Ivy’s fabulous dress, and even more fabulous shoes. Her BFF from college came in to help her get everything ready.
The kids… (really, the girls look like they could be sisters down to the same coloring).
And the bride and groom.
The ride over to the reception was fun in the amazingly cheezyLasVegasZebraprintLasershowHummer limo. Love the reflection on the mirrored ceiling too.
Ceremony and reception (with all the pictures in an album) to come in tommorrows post.
