the gil wedding- part four {the reception}
Wrapping up the wedding and I’m kinda a little sad about that. I’ve had such fun taking and editing these pictures. It was really a great time all around.
And yet another small world moment…my best/oldest friend had the groom as her golf pro a few years ago. I don’t know if I mentioned that the bride worked with John down at Paddy McGee’s (and with Nelson too)a zillion years ago.
Anyway, some of my favorites from the reception. Again, hard to choose cause there were so many.
I asked the girls to jump. They thought I was kidding.
The speech by the best man who was also the father of the groom. So sweet.

the gil wedding- part three {portraits}
Ok, I know every time I post a batch of pictures from the wedding, I say they are my favorite. But, this time I really mean it. Really. No. Really!!!
I had a great feeling about these pictures when I was taking them. They were exactly what I had pictured in my head (love it when that happens). But when I got them on the computer and started editing them…oh. my. god. Dream pictures!!! Even got some awesome sunflare in the one in front of the restaurant (do you have any idea how hard that is for me to capture!?). Adore this whole group. Again, dosen’t hurt that the bride couldn’t be more photogenic and that the groom was very tolerant of me and my camera- and although he’d rather not take any, he dosen’t seem to take a bad picture either! And while I know they were windblown down on the beach ones, I think it just makes them more sexy and natural.
Thanks to everyone at the wedding for the big giant group picture. I know it was cold and blowy on the dock, but it came out so great. Thanks for your patience and smiles!
And can I just say that I love that this couple was so up for whatever I suggested. Walking thru the middle of town and posing in doorways- LOVE THEM! Sorry about the sand in your shoes and the climbing on things. But it was worth it…dontcha think?

the gil wedding- part two {the ceremony}
Really, just a beautiful ceremony. The priest who did the mass was just so COOL (I didn’t know priests could be so cool and religious at the same time!)- just check out his shoes! The whole ceremony was so personal, so funny, so moving, so great. I was honored to be there, really. All that and I got to take lots of pictures. So hard to choose my favorites (yet again). Here are a few:

the gil wedding- part one {getting ready}
Here we go…
I’ve only started editing the wedding, but I’ll put up sections as they are completed. No need torturing the bride by making her wait til the whole thing is done, cause that will be a while. So here is the first part- getting ready. I met the bride and maid of honor at the the grooms house (he was getting ready at his parents) where I was so excited about the bright light in there. Not to mention the perfect setting across the street, the grey couch, the quiet middle of the street for more pictures…
The bride was exceedingly calm (if it was a front, it was a great one Melissa) and put together. And, I think I didn’t take one bad picture of her the entire day. She couldn’t have been more photogenic if she tried! See…
Here are some of my favorites from this section (so hard to choose), including some dress and shoe shots. Even some feet. You know how I have to have my feet!! All of the pictures from part one are in an album on the left. Click any image to see it bigger. And speaking of bigger, how much do we LOVE the new blog with the larger format pictures!!??

The nur wedding- part 4 {the reception}
Finally, the very last part of the wedding. I had so much fun editing all of the pictures and I’m almost sad I’m done! The reception shots were definitely more relaxed than the rest as the stressful parts were over, everyone was becoming more "lubricated", and it was time to have some fun. I think there was quite a lot of fun!
