    Cow Neck Penninsula Historical Society

A friend/past client is involved with the historical society and asked me to come take some pictures of their costume display before it was retired and all packed away. Something totally different for me to photograph which is always exciting for me! It included some really cool stuff, especially the costumes from The Great Gatsby that Leonardo DiCaprio & Tobey McGuire wore in the actual movie. I loved the wedding dresses (especially the Seersucker tux and the velvet wedding dress with fur collar). Lincoln’s coat and all of the parade gear of John Phillips Sousa was pretty cool too.

    craft

Something a little different for today. Took some pictures before the grand opening of my friends new bar & restaurant in Lynbrook. Craft Kitchen & Tap House is a great place! The decor is awesome (and fun to photograph!!) and the food and drinks were delicious. I even had something with bourbon. Me!!! (I don’t ever drink anything like that, but it was goooooood). If you’re in the area I encourage you to go check them out. Right by the Lynbrook train station to make it nice and easy to get there and get home.

    lunar eclipse

yeah, so this happened quite a while ago, but i’m only just now getting around to editing the pictures. sad, but true. i can’t find my noiseware plug in/action (and since they’re just personal pix, I wasn’t so motivated to search)so please try to ignore the noisy pictures that were shot at like a zillion ISO. (especially the red ones). still kinda cool regardless.

    FaceKevlar Beard Company

Been doing some photography work for my friend for his brand new beard supply & accessory company- and have been having a blast! He debuted his products at his motorcycle club in August (yes, it really has taken me this long to post) and they’ve really taken off! He’s selling online on his website, on Etsy and is in a few local stores and barber shops. Products have been flying off the “shelves” with orders all over the country, including Hawaii and a few international orders in Ireland, England and Australia!! He’s marketing more toward bikers with beards, but any awesome guy with a beard can definitely use them. I’ve been hands (nose?) on while shooting everything, and can attest that they smell great! Waxes, beard oils, beard shampoo, lip balms, shirts, hoodies, do rags, beanies, stickers, patches, brushes & combs are all available for purchase.

I highly recommend heading over to his website at www.facekevlar.com and buying some products for the bearded (or mustachioed) men in your life. He has accessories and apparel for both men & women too. Make for great stocking stuffers and will make it to you in time for Christmas. (and because it’s christmas all bsquared blog stalkers/readers can use code bsquared15 at checkout to get 15% off your order for the rest of December.)

I mean how badass is his logo??

Big thanks to Colleen at Dover Girls for the awesome cookies!!FaceKevlar was in a featured article in Full Throttle Magazine. You can read the full article here.
