shooting for me & a mothers day giveaway
I really forget to do that so much of the time. But I am trying to remember to do it more often. So here are a few quick ones I took recently. And yes, it’s true there are none of the big boys in this set- but that’s because they really REALLY do not like me taking pictures of them anymore. So I have to choose my battles and save up my picture taking of them for when I really need them!
Timmy and his BFF Jack. This is the only pose I get from him most of the time now.
And now for the Mothers Day giveaway.
Is your mom the best? Do you know a mom who is extra special? Someone who has a significant impact on your life and the lives of others? She doesn’t have to be your mom- but someone you feel is deserving of a special something to celebrate their ‘momness’. To nominate a special mom, please send an email with who you are nominating and why they are special to you. Emails can be sent to me at bethbeyrer@yahoo.com. Pictures attached to your email of the special mom you’re nominating will definitely be appreciated! The winning entry will receive a $100 bsquared gift card (which can be used toward anything bsquared- a session, products, etc) for the nominated mom and a special little gift for the one doing the nominating. Entry deadline is Sunday 5/6, winner will be announced here on the blog Monday 5/7. Can’t wait to read all your entries!!

kelly’s window frames & organic bloom frames
I’m so behind on posting stuff it’s a little ridiculous. At least Disney is finally done.
Some beautiful Organic Bloom frames my friend & client Kelly ordered for her brand new house. (the hallway lighting was not the most condusive for photos, I did the best I could). The Audrey in white and (on the inside of the middle frame) metallic silver.
The Lucy in slate blue (inside) and parchment (background) for her master bedroom entry.
My favorite parts of hanging Kelly’s frames were 1. She made her painter crazy by choosing colors that matched the frames. and 2. Her oldest son came upstairs just as we were finishing up and was all smiles and compliments on the pictures and frames. He was so happy that his picture was displayed where everyone could see it!
And we did a pretty window frame for Kelly’s living room. I love how the colors in the photos match her living room perfectly and the L monogram was the perfect addition (my first time doing a monogram in the frame- love that idea and hope to do it again!)
Happy Thursday to all of you! It’s sushi night here and I’m having some photografriends over tonight too. If my allergy ridden self doesn’t sneeze to death prior…

hey, we’re “frameous”
Yeah, it takes me hours to come up with stuff like that. But I was so happy to have The Organic Bloom feature some of my fabulous bsquared clients (and mine, too) Organic Bloom frames on their site.
From my living room:
From my den and dining room:From Gina’s house (1st and 4th images) and the 3rd image is from my photografriend Amanda-lee’s (of Fleur de lees Photography) office! From Sharon’s house (the left side) and from Jen’s house.
So, we’re framous!! I’m getting in more frames every day and maybe your frame might be featured on the Organic Bloom site too! For more info on Organic Bloom frames from bsquared photography, check them out here and here.

off camera flash with pete
Another one of my photografriends was nice enough to help me out with my continuing education on off camera flash. He was quite the reluctant model, but a very patient and great teacher. Pete even came with me to the event I shot on Saturday night to help out ‘on site’ so to speak, so I could put everything I’ve been learning into actual practice.
So here’s what I did with my new knowledge. And a shout out to another photografriend Charles who held a flash he was selling just for me. Cause you know I have to have a collection of stuff.
Shoot thru umbrella.
A little flashflare. While in mid sentence. Sorry about that but the flare was cool so I had to post. I love that you can see the wine, and all kinds of battery packs, boxes from the new purchases and just the general mess that ensued. Learning is messy.Attempting to mix ambient light with off camera flash.A little silhouette with rim light. I’m a total sucker for rim light- it’s my favorite! He looks like a magician. Brightening up the front side a little and then a little more. Pete looks just thrilled, huh?
Can’t wait to try out some of my newfound knowledge for my upcoming events and on some sessions. (Don’t worry- my pictures are still primarily going to be natural light as they always have been but it’s nice not being totally in the dark with off camera flash (see what I did there?) and can only be a helpful tool to work with and add a little something extra to your bsquared sessions.)
