    chris’s senior session

The last of my four senior session models. So sad to be finishing them up and really hoping we can get some more seniors to book with bsquared next year- I absolutely love doing them!! Chris was technically a junior at the time of the session but will be heading into his senior year at Valley Stream South in the fall. He’s a wrestler so we had to incorporate a little of that somehow (which was more challenging than you might think at a beach setting!)

The flies were vicious over in this area, but it was worth it. At least to me!I may have to buy myself a pair of wrestling sneakers- they are so comfortable looking. Maybe good for weddings with my myriad of foot issues?A little departure from my normal processing on this one, but thought it looked cool.

Good luck next year Chris! (but enjoy your summer first!)

    maggie’s senior session

Maggie is straight out of California(although she lives here on Long Island and I’m pretty sure she has her whole life)- a true golden girl in every sense of the word. Smart, so sweet, gorgeous, blonde, tan and an ocean lifeguard. She seems too good to be true, but she really is all that and more. Maggie’s headed to Villanova in the fall, honoring a family legacy and also taking her own path. She had a very busy week last week with graduation and prom so I waited until today to post her pictures. Hope you like them Maggie (and parents who I adore!) and I don’t really need to wish you good luck next year cause you obviously have that covered, but wishing you nothing but all of your dreams coming true! Giddy-up! (<<<that was for you Gina! except I left part out.)

Shooting at the beach was a no-brainer.

A little change of clothing…And another change…into the lifeguard uniform.Last outfit before sunset was done. Thanks again, Maggie! I had a fantastic time photographing you. xo

    jack’s senior session

Another of my volunteers for the bsquared senior sessions- and what an awesome volunteer he was! An avid guitar player we had to include some of him playing in our session. I loved the suit and tie look too! And in all honesty, if this kid doesn’t start modeling I may have to hunt him down next year at college and make him go! Best of luck to you next year at Alfred State and thanks for being such a great model for me!

    the fole family

This shoot was an almost senior session. Ryan is actually a senior who just graduated from Chaminade High School (congrats Ryan!) so this was a family session to celebrate his graduation and to have a few family photos for when Ryan leaves for college at the end of the summer. His tuxedo (so handsome!) is his graduation attire, so mom wanted to be sure we captured this special moment for their family.

Felt like we were old friends by the time we were done with the session. Love that!Something so Rat Pack about the photo on the right.Ryan will be heading off to St. Joseph’s University in Philly. Best of luck to you, Ryan!

    danielle- bsquared senior sessions

Senior photography. (that would be seniors in high school, not senior citizens- but I’m up for photographing them too!) The funny thing is that senior photography is HUGE all around the country, but for reasons I can’t seem to figure out it’s just not catching on here in NY. I’m really trying to change that as it would be a fantastic market to work in. For those of you who don’t know what senior sessions are all about, I’d be photographing your high school senior- but not those boring yearbook type photos. Your senior would be photographed in clothes that they love, in a fitting setting (be it a park, or a beach, or a sports arena, or NYC, or wherever they’d like!). They can choose a few outfits to bring (everything from semi-formal, to prom/formal wear, to cap & gown, to favorite casual clothing). But to me, the best part about senior photography is the photographs of them doing what they love most. Be it dancing, a sport, reading, playing an instrument, computer geniuses, traveling, whatever. I want to capture that for them- at the time in their lives where all kinds of exciting adventures await and life changes so much, so quickly. And as parents, wouldn’t you much rather have pictures like that then the typical yearbook photo with the canned smiles? Seeing your child (no matter what age) captured doing what they love at a special time in their life is the best.

A few weeks ago I put a call out for a few high school seniors to be my guinea pigs for some bsquared senior sessions. And I got 4 of the most amazing seniors volunteer to help me out with my project. Dani is the first of the 4 I photographed and was so lovely and sweet, not to mention gorgeous and talented. She will be attending Muhlenberg College in the Fall (for dance!). Wishing you nothing but luck and school, Dani! Keep dancing and I can’t wait to say I knew you when.

So if you haven’t guessed yet, Dani is an accomplished dancer (of all types, but I asked her to bring her toe shoes.)I can only think of the little ballerina in the jewelry box I had as a little girl when looking at this photo. Please contact me (using the contact link above) if you are interested in your own senior session. We still have plenty of time before everyone leaves for college!
