happy eastover
This weekend we celebrated both Easter and Passover, hence Eastover. We dyed eggs (although Timmy said he was going to ‘lay eggs like a shicken’), we had an egg hunt and a great dinner at Aunt Nez & Uncle That Guy’s house along with birthday cakes for Grandpa Jack and John, we watched The Ten Commandments on TV Saturday night and ate Matzo & tuna fish sandwiches while watching. (along with a “nothing says Passover like a bacon cheeseburger” per John).
Jack & Patrick really loved the movie (they have to get something from me every now and then, right?) and stayed on the couch for all 4hrs and 45min of showtime and didn’t get to bed until 12am. That means the Easter Bunny got a late start. But he did manage to get the basket together, the toys delivered and even left a trail of chocolate eggs from all 3 bedrooms down the stairs and into the dining room where the goodies were waiting. He’s pretty efficient, no?
During the easter egg hunt, there was a small cheating debacle over the golden egg. So Uncle That Guy made all the boys turn around while he re-hid it. Brendan was the big winner, fair and square.
Jack & Patrick often really like my photography ideas. The stupider, the better.

robin
My best friend from college (University of Miami), Robin came down for a visit on Tuesday. Aside from being a very, very talented artist and Art Director for David Letterman, and owning her own graphic design business with her husband Joe…she’s pregnant!! She’s due with her very first baby in August. I’m still trying to talk her into some birth photography where I go to the delivery room to document the whole thing. So far, not happening. But you know me…I don’t give up easily.
Rob also needed some headshots done for her business, so I was happy to help out there. Here’s what we got in our 5 minute shoot in the backyard. She’s so pretty (and has the BEST hair) that it was hard to not get a good shot.
And here’s her cutest little belly. Dosen’t she look awesome!?
We had some sushi for lunch (since that’s tradition and she couldn’t stay for dinner), took the boys all over after school and played with some photoshop stuff. Robin taught me photoshop way back when. And I even actually got to teach her a new photoshop trick or two Tuesday. Grasshopper.

religion abounds
Last week, Timmy did this…
Gotta love that kid.
Unfortunately, today Timmy’s fish Goo died (he is the darker one and lasted about 6 months). Timmy was sad but not wrecked (not like the big boys were when their fish died or the crayfish died. That was unbelieveable sadness).
So there might be a trip to the fish store today to get a new fish so Lewis has a friend to keep him company.
The boys have pointed out that Goo died on Good Friday–a whole lot of religion going on here today! Fish, good friday, a baby moses, a seder last night, a death, egg dying today….
Can I get an amen?

Sue’s 40th birthday
*disclaimer: all snapshots with point n shoot. I was off duty and having lots of fun. And drunk.
I haven’t seen Sue in about 100 years- really since college I think. She came back to RVC for her party, and it was so great to see her! We had a blast at the party with drinks and dancing and all 80’s music, movies, clothes, and makeup.
Even got to catch up with Dawn who I haven’t seen in about 12 or 13 years either. She looks exactly the same as she did in HS (especially with the gobs of blue eyeliner and the Frankie Says Relax t-shirt and tuxedo jacket).
John got to pal out with Ray which is always lots of laughs for both of them, and even though I see Jen often at the boys school (and at baseball last year) it’s always great to catch up uninterruped (aka without kids around).
Sue, if you finally got your laptop and are actually reading this, it was fantastic to see you and I’m so glad we finally got together. I’m hoping to take that loooooong drive to Maine this summer, and if not, then Boston sometime soon. I miss you and love you. And there’s a banana in your tailpipe, chocolate cake behind you, and Jake Ryan and John Taylor in all your magazines! Happy Birthday!!!

Citi field on Saturday
I know, I know. I’m a little behind on the blog posts. I will do my best to catch up this week.
Saturday (despite the cold and crappy weather) John took all 3 boys along with Grandpa Jack, Uncle That Guy, Aunt Nez and their three, his friend Paul and his family, his friend Brian M. and his son, and Brian and his son (Timmy’s BFF) Jack to Citi Field to see the Red Sox vs. the Mets. Still preseason, but baseball nonetheless.
I opted out. Surprising, I know. But I got some work done while everyone was baseballing it up. And after sleeping 12 hours Friday night into Saturday, I was feeling pretty well rested and efficient.
*and after some “complaints” by an unnamed party about having the bsquared logo on the point n shoot pix that I obviously didn’t take at the game, I decided to keep putting my watermark on there anyway. Too bad!
