    just one shot

of our new friend. Taken super quickly Thursday. Hang in there for more-a full shoot of this new little boy scheduled for this week. Pictures soon.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Just saw Monsters vs. Aliens (cute) and the big boys are at their first baseball practice this season. Dinner at the ‘crunchy’ club tonight with Timmy’s other BFF, Olivia and her family. And it’s actually pretty nice out on top of all the other good stuff.

    the calm before the storm

It’s getting to be that time of year. The time when photographers rejoice (well, at least this photographer) because there is hope that we might just get outside to start shooting again. Today is the first day that it feels like spring since it’s been spring!

I have booked 12 new shoots within the last week. The 12 don’t include a bunch of newborn babies I’m waiting to hear have “hatched”. This is a reminder to all of you who are waiting to see when the weather will turn before booking, you might want to just book now so you can get your spot.

The photography madness really begins for me the 2nd week of April. I’m pretty quiet between now and then so I’m trying to get as much rest as I can so I’m ready to jump in back to full time shooting. I’m so excited! I have so many ideas floating around in my head that I can’t wait to put to good use. I’ve all but run out of bribes with my boys.

And since a post is just blah without a picture, here’s a recent one of Timmy (milk mustache and all). The most over photographed child in America. Or even the universe. I’m lucky he’ll still sit for me. For now.

    St. Patrick’s parade

Here it is, in all it’s green glory!

    web68

You would think that they would’ve gotten the watertower finished before the parade that goes right by it.

Grandma (and even Hakka this year too) were doing their best Mel imitation, chasing kids off the apartment property. Dontcha just love Grandma with her police tape?

    web87

We had the best seats, thanks to Grandma and Hakka. The ‘box seats’ always give us great views. And we even got some beads. It’s like Mardi Gras (except with no shirt lifting). Here’s Hakka squishing up Jack.

John marched in the parade, although he definitely shouldn’t have with his back. His truck was out of service, so there was no riding while reading the paper this year.

Grandpa Jack, Feather, and Uncle Joe played as they do every year.

We got a wave from Mr. Met since the boys were wearing Mets hats.

The boys made it thru part of the parade, but once Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle Joe passed they kinda lost interest. The pull from the computers and the slot machines inside was just too great. And I was off to St. Baldricks.

    *new baby alert*

    web129

My good friend Jen and her husband Brian welcomed a new baby boy yesterday morning at 4:30am (oy!)!

Brady James. 8 lbs, 13 oz. (oy oy!) and 21″ long.

Jen and Brady are doing well and will be in the hospital for another day.  She said that the delivery was really rough (the hardest out of her 3).

I absolutely cannot wait to photograph the baby chunk! Especially with all the cool new newborn props I’ve gotten in over the last 2 weeks! This baby and I are going to be well aquainted.

Jen is also Mommy to “baby Michael” (the kid is 2 years old and is still referred to as baby Michael by all my boys, but now I think he’ll finally have to graduate) and Timmy’s best friend in the whole wide world, Jack.  Timmy’s pretty excited about the new baby. We can’t wait til he gets home so we can visit.

    recovery

No, not from the weekend…I took it easy. But my computer guy informed me that he was able to save about 95% of what was on the external hard drive! Woohoo! So I should have that back in my hands shortly and will be able to upload all of those pictures to smug mug for extra saftey. What a relief!

Yesterday’s parade and St. Baldricks was lots of fun…pictures coming this week. Sorry I missed you, Uncle Jerry! Had to run to St. Baldricks for pictures.

Friday night I went out to dinner with my friend Gina who I used to work with at Jimlar a thousand lifetimes ago. We email and talk often, but even though we live less than an hour apart, haven’t seen eachother in 4+ years. (That was at the Prince concert where I was pregnant with Timmy and had to sit on the end of the row cause I was still getting sick!). So we had a great dinner and spent 4 hours catching up on 4 years!

Finished another book on the Kindle and started another last night (UR-Stephen King’s Kindle only book…about a pink Kindle. I might be freaking out shortly.)

A shoot today for a one year old boy. Should be fun!

And because a post is worthless without pictures (the ones above have already been posted here on the bsquared blog) here are a few new ones from NYC a few weekends back…
