timmy’s birthday vegetable- at school
Timmy’s fantastic teachers Miss Allison & Miss Donna told me I could come in and help Timmy celebrate his birthday at school. I brought some ice cream cups (nothing says birthday like ice cream at 10:30am!) and a book (Timmy’s current favorite is the two sided DC SuperFriends book) and celebrated with his class (well, the kids that were there that day).
Timmy’s favorite part of his birthday? “When everyone sings Happy Birthday to me. That makes me feel good & happy!”.

timmy’s 4th birthday vegetable- party & presents
I know, I know. I said I would post these like a week ago already. Sorry about the delay. Things are nutty as usual.
And before you even ask…yes, Timmy WANTED to wear a tie to his birthday party. Just like last year. All the moms there were calling him ‘risky business’, just without the underwear or crazy couch jumping!
For those of you who follow the blog, you know that we have week long birthday festivals here, with some kind of celebration each day for about a week. But last year for the boys birthday, Timmy said ‘birthday festival’ which sounded an awful lot like ‘birthday vegetable’. So it is now and forever going to be the birthday vegetable for any birthdays at the Beyrer’s.
Timmy had a great party at the rec center (ok, really where else do the Beyrer’s have birthday parties? Out of the possible 13 kid birthdays so far in this house, 9 have been at the rec. What can I say? They do a great party and the kids love them!) with lots of friends from school and from life. He got tons of fantastic presents and had a blast playing with all his friends.
With his two BFF’s.
Love the legs.
Some birthday love with Grandma and Hakka.
The rest of the party pictures are below. Just click on any one to view larger, or watch as a slide show.

jack and patrick.
We are leaving for Florida today for a short vacation. But keep checking the blog anyway as I have it automated to post something almost every day we are away. Gotta love technology.
A few favorite shots from a recent (forced) photoshoot. Loving the grey seamless paper a little! They were so good and actually did what I asked (most of the time) and when they didn’t do what I asked, the pictures were good and real too!
But this is what happens when I ask them to sit together since they are getting too big to fit on the same chair and someone’s butt is pushing the other boy off!
C’mon, you know you laughed at that one.

look what i got (aka john is awesome!)
Look what I got (as a total surprise) for Valentines Day! (and please ignore my bad nails. John sent me out for a mani/pedi after I took the pictures but I didn’t feel like retaking them.)
I found this ring in town one day when I went into the store to get one of John’s watches fixed and knew I HAD to have it! So I decided I would buy it for myself for my 40th birthday in September. I would put down a little money each week until then.
It’s so pretty. Diamonds and sapphires (which happen to be my birthstone). Lots of little stones clustered into 3 flowers. Sparkly-goodness.
Well, I was secretly hoping that John would get it for me before hand…and he did!! He’s a great husband and a super amazing Valentine! Thanks, love!!
Hmmm…. now what do I buy for myself for turning 40? A new camera? Lens? Suggestions?
