the duck race, the sax, and the tak kids
Whew, that’s a lot for one post, no? But I gotta get everything on here as quick as possible. And god knows I gotta post some of my own stuff on her occassionally or else the boys will freak that there’s nothing about them.
Took the boys last weekend to the duck race in town for a little fun. And fun we had. They loved the bouncy slidey things, we met a snake and some frogs (WARNING: that means there are snake and frog pix below), got a baloon, missed hearing the Turn play (bummer), Jack let me take some pix of him at long last, and ate a pickle on a stick (really, is there anyother way to eat a pickle??). Yum.
Patrick has taken up the saxophone for school band this year and is loving it so far. While Jack didn’t last long with the cello last year, Patrick is sure he’s going to play for the whole year and play in both the winter and spring concerts at school. I have to admit he looks pretty cool playing it. Hopefully it will sound as good as it looks. Eventually.
And now on to the Tak kids…
I photographed this family around this time last year when the baby was just born. I was shocked seeing him this time looking so big. Yes, I know that they grow up. Fast. But I was thinking he was still going to be an infant. Dosen’t he look like he should be on his farm in Ireland, herding the sheep??
The little girl is as cute and dainty as ever. There was significantly less chasing happening this year which is always nice for me. And the smiles came so easy. Sweet!

a little break from our regularly scheduled programming…
Just needed one day off from posting the zillion shoots I’ve been doing. So bringing you some new pictures of Timmy. The big boys are boycotting the camera for right now so, this is all I have.
Some random happenings around here:
*Jack and Patrick are getting so big and are starting to have some tasty "pit stink" by the end of the day. OMG- already??? And it really, really smells. Bad.
* Timmy finally looks like he’s getting bigger (he’s been in the 25%tile for height) and filling out a bit. Must be all the chocolate and steak. (and no, not together. ewwww.).
*weird coinsidences around here lately. Thinking of things or people that I haven’t seen in a long time and then running into them. Never hearing of a place before that day and then hearing of it three more times within a week. Strange.
*speaking of strange…saw this fair set up by the mall (we pass it twice a week on the way to OT and PT for Timmy) and just HAD TO HAVE pictures in there before it was open. So Timmy and I braved the ‘carnies’, and believe me, they were a little frightening, and walked around the empty carnival taking pictures. None of the rides were open but we snuck around where we could and snapped a few. They were actually nice about it (but still scary). All I could think of was my favorite show EVER- Carnivale. I miss that and am still pissed off about the non-ending. So wrong.
* just saw a segment on the news about what you could buy for $700billion- the whole buyout deal. And it freaked me out. Did you realize that you could provide heathcare for every. single. american. for 5 years with that? More stuff that’s just so wrong.
*finished all but one of the books that I bought over the summer (so 6 so far) and really enjoyed all of them. Heading to the bookstore tommorrow with the boys to do some fill in shopping for all of us. Not that I’m going to have time to read them until we go to Florida for Christmas…
*still working so hard (and loving every minute of it) on the zillion shoots I have booked until the end of the year. More coming tommorrow and probably pretty much every day until December. The bad weather this weekend is absolutely killing me. So frustrating. Here’s a fairly unflattering picture of me working at the wedding posted below. But I’m smiling cause I love what I do. Please ignore the frizzy hair- it was so humid outside and I had been shooting outside since early that morning. It only got worse at the beach as the day wore on. I still can’t believe I have a business!

a little stormy
These were taken during the "tropical storm" we had here a week or two ago. Completely unimpressed by the storm- we’ve had way worse rain with thunder and lightening during the summer. Nevermind the fact that the stupid market and A & S (the italian deli, not the old clothing store) looked like armageddon was immenent. I just went there to do my usual shopping, but the cashier at the stupidmarket said it had been crazy since 7:30 that morning. Whatever, people. It’s just some rain.
Timmy and Patrick came outside to play in the rain. Jack wasn’t particularly interested.
On that note, good thoughts and strength going out to all of those people dealing with REAL weather issues in Texas and elsewhere.

be back soon…
been a crazy busy weekend. a shoot and a wedding shoot yesterday with Beth W, and two shoots today. Been editing and shooting non-stop so no time to post.
A few quick snapshots from my birthday outing friday night. Thank you to everyone that came by! And thanks B for all the (embarrassing but fun) bday wishes. And thank you to John for dinner and my nice new lens, text messages, and bday love!
