diana @ yoga
After taking my friend Marianne’s headshots and images of her at work, her colleague sent me an email for her own session. I was so glad she did as she was wonderful to photograph and an amazing person. We had some fun in her yoga studio and around the neighborhood. Diana had such a nice and genuine way about her and I can imagine she’s a great yoga instructor. If you have the chance to take a class with her, she’s at the Yoga and Polarity Center in Malverne. She invited me to try one, but that probably won’t be until January!

marianne
My good friend Marianne is now a certified Yoga Massage Therapist (at least that’s what I think it’s called). She will be giving Thai Yoga Massages starting this fall at the Yoga & Polarity Center in Malverne. She gave me two massages, and they were both great! I highly recommend her! Marianne needed some headshots and some images of her at work for her new business so I went to see her in action and snap away.
Looks so good and relaxing, right? Many thanks to Fran for being Marianne’s client for the morning! And this is my favorite. It’s just SO her!

Kasey’s roofdeck
Have I mentioned lately that I love my job? Got a message from Tommy & Eric from Kasey’s asking if I was interested in photographing their brand new roofdeck bar & restaurant. Uh…yeah! Couldn’t get up there fast enough. And here’s what I shot.
How gorgeous is this place? You MUST get up there asap!
Did a few food and beverage shots for them as well for use on their website, facebook page, advertising, etc. I wasn’t hungry when I started but by the time I was done, I was starving!!!A coconut martini. Wow.Got this one to go for dinner. And yum!!Tommy special ordered a rainbow, just to make the pictures prettier. You totally feel like you are on vacation up there. I can’t wait to take the boys and John up! Hope to see a lot of you up there!

RVC education foundation gala honorees
I’ve been asked to photograph the Gala again this year, which is always a great evening. This year’s honorees are all teachers in RVC who have put in many, many years of teaching and touched the lives of countless students. Their pictures and short bio’s will be in the local paper this week, but here’s a preview of their pictures.
Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Birnbaum (who taught two of my three boys at Kindergarten readiness camp), and Mrs. Genovesi.
The gala will be held on March 26th at 7pm at Hempstead Golf & Country Club. Would love to see you there (and for you to let me take your picture!). You can find more info on the gala and the foundation on their website HERE.

paula
Had a great time on this shoot with a brand new bsquared client. Paula was so chatty and fun, and just up for anything once I got her relaxed in front of the camera. It didn’t take long especially considering the last ‘real’ photos she had taken of her were Glamour Shots back in college! Paula’s make up by the fabulous Jennifer Duffy, who made Paula’s lovely big blue eyes just pop all the more. Thanks Jen! And thanks Paula for a really fun shoot!
