    elizabeth’s prom

I got to play paparazzi for an afternoon/evening and follow my ‘niece’ Elizabeth around to a bunch of pre-prom parties. I was also introduced to a whole new world of prom rules that include posting your dress on FB to ensure that no one buys the same one as you, buses instead of limos, and graduation the day after prom so that the school can use graduation to ensure no one gets out of control at prom. But I was happy to see that at least the corsages and boutineers are still around. And that the mom’s had to pin the boutineers on the boys jackets. Some things don’t change. But yes, I am really, really, REALLY old. How did that happen?!

But Elizabeth is gorgeous. I mean, really really gorgeous.

Her date was a sweetheart and I liked him cause he let me take lots of pictures without complaining. At least not to my face.I have this exact pose in a picture of Bitsy when she was around a year old. I looked all over my house but I can’t find it. I’m sure it’ll turn up as soon as this blog post is up!The first party. How are they all so pretty and skinny?! Is it bad I wish I was 17 again?A little shoe shot. Didn’t want to miss the backs of the dresses.Jake Ryan, anyone? (on the right)Talking to her godfather John on my phone while eating salami.  Even though the bus got lost coming from Maryland (yeah, I don’t get it either) and the parents had to drive the kids to Valley Stream to meet the bus almost 2 hrs late, and then the same bus broke down 10 miles from the prom and they had to send town cars to pick up the kids….they all had a great time from what I heard. Good luck next year in college, everyone!! Bitsy, what am I going to do without you?!?

    erin’s 40th

The lovely Erin turned 40 recently and had a big party at Two Steak and Sushi Den to celebrate. She asked me to photograph a bit of her evening and I was more than happy to. Two is super trendy and has such cool decor. I’m sure the food was great too!

Such a pretty birthday girl!!The birthday girl with her parents and her sons. How cute is that baby?! Happy birthday Erin!

    emily’s confirmation

Even though we didn’t end up vacationing together this year, I did get to take some pictures of one of my favorite families for Emily’s Confirmation. Another day where we barely evaded the rain, but it was beautiful anyway.

Please excuse the lack of narrative, I’m totally in the weeds for the next few days. It’s been crazy here!

    aidan’s first communion

Aidan’s first communion is the last one I shot this season, and the last to be shared. A big thanks to his mom for being extra patient waiting for his pictures. Without further ado, meet Aidan and his fantastic family on his special day.

The little one just woke up from her nap and was not particularly interested in photos. But she has a special place with me as she’s the little baby on the left of the blog header on the wood floor. She’s grown up a bit since then but is still just as cute!

Loved this mother & daughter. The balloon guy was fantastic- his balloon animals, swords, lightsabers and other things were the best I have ever seen. If you are looking for some good entertainment for your next kid party his name is Edgar Calderon and can be reached at mistertwister260@gmail.com or 917.497.3761Besties. How cute is this face?! Thanks for letting me be there for your day, Aidan!

    happy mothers day

Hoping all of you had a wonderful mothers day. I did. I got to sleep late, went to Hempstead for brunch with everyone (John and the boys, both sets of grandparents, and Joe & Gail and their boys) and had a lazy afternoon at home. Just wish I felt better- my allergies are awful. None of the delicious food tasted quite right at brunch cause of the allergy meds, my eyes are swollen itchy and ugly, and I kept falling asleep all afternoon/evening. Can’t wait for spring to be OVER.

My presents: (looooove my new Coach bag. John’s batting 1000 on the pocketbooks!!) The Mets shirt, however…..

And my gifts: Wishing all my bsquared mommies a very happy mothers day yesterday, too.
