the stac christening
I was so happy when mom booked me to photograph her little girl’s christening. Photographing christenings is always so much fun for me, especially when I get to be there for THE moment in the church. Little miss M did wonderfully, no crying at all. And priest was the funniest, most easy going priest I have ever seen. He was all about getting the mass done timely so everyone could get out to watch the Jets game and he was so good with all the kids there, having them come up to the font and explaining about the water. The best joke of the day? “How do you get water to become holy water? Boil the hell out of it.” Ha!
She is perfect, isn’t she? And mom had the christening gown hanging right there in the window when I walked in. Just for me. Do my clients rock (and know me so well) or what?A few fun ones- the chaos of 3 littles and getting everyone ready to head to church and a party all while trying to look relaxed and calm. Ahhh, life. No doubt you will recognize a few of the faces here. Mary Ellen and Kenny were standing in for Miss M’s godparents who couldn’t be there for the Christening. Unfortunately, Sara (the godmother) was in the hospital with preterm labor with her 5th baby and was then sent home on bedrest and a terbutaline pump. Been there, done that and I feel terrible for her. But I hope she can enjoy the pictures from her bed today- and Sara you’d better be laying your butt down!!!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures and thank you so much for letting me be there for Miss M’s special day!

the baez surprise 40th
Had a great time photographing a surprise party for a friend/client’s sister at Jimmy Hayes in Island Park.
Waiting on the guest of honor- the view just as she’s walking in the door. Yeah, she was surprised!Sisters and mom. No family resemblence there at all, right? My friend, sister of the birthday girl and the organizer of the party. Whatever these two are giggling about makes it look like they are up to no good. Everyone at the party. Hope the rest of the party was as great as the surprise part! Happy Birthday Deanna!!

the burberry princess birthday
If you follow the blog, you will definitely remember this little burberry princess from many past shoots. And although there was no burberry this shoot, there was plenty of princess!! Katie turned 4 and celebrated in style!
They had the party at the Reebok club, which as fate would have it, is right next door to the Burberry store. Mom made the cake and cupcakes. So cute!!Grandmas. And if it wasn’t enough to have a zillion little princesses around for the party, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty came too. And did makeup, games and dancing. Happy Birthday, Katie!!!

Ok, so they were on the blog very recently for their holiday card photos, but here they are again for their baby’s Christening. You know they are one of my favorite families, so you’ll just have to muddle through another owen family post (again, with lots of familiar faces).
He’s beautiful.
And so is his big sister. Love this one- he’s looking at me like ‘are you sure this is what’s supposed to be going on here?’And off to the big event. So psyched I caught a couple of water droplets. Miss K and her godparents, Mr B and his. Grandma & Grandpa and all their grandchildren. (all familiar faces, here!)Wishing you many blessings everyday my friends! Love to all of you!!
