the pers 1st birthday
After photographing this little one as a (almost) newborn, I was so happy to be asked to come and capture her big first birthday bash! If you are a blog stalker, I’m sure you’ll recognize many familiar faces in the crowd. Miss N seemed to have a great time at her party, especially with Elmo and her new car.
The picture on the right is so Sesame Street. Big and little. A little musical chairs.Twins (grandma and aunt)! Here are those familiar faces…Showing off some of her tricks and smiles (told ya the new car was a big hit!)She looks like she’s saying “wow, all of this is for ME?”Happy Birthday sweet Miss N! Great seeing all of my bsquared friends and thanks for letting me celebrate with you!

jack’s pack
A really quick post for today. Fell asleep on the couch last night at like 8:45pm, woke up at 4:15am and went upstairs to bed until 7. Think I was a little tired?
Off for a field trip with Timmy’s class this morning so not going to be getting much work done now either. Whatever.
Timmy’s BFF was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenille Diabetes about 18 months ago. It’s been a really long and hard road for him and his family but if you met them today you would never know that. They have never let Jack feel different than everyone else and always made sure that everyone around him was only supportive and caring. I’m overwhelmed with love for this family- we’ve become such close friends and they are so good to us. Timmy and Jack are pretty much inseperable (in fact, they were at the same table in the same Kindergarten class, but they did have to get separated because they talked. All day long.) They are all so brave and strong and continue to amaze me every day with how they have handled and moved forward with Jack’s diagnosis.
This is Jack’s nurse, Jen. She’s so fantastic and with him all day at school. All the kids in the class looooove her. She draws pictures of Pokemon guys for Jack and Timmy every day. You know she’s in for life. Timmy cannot STAND the sight of blood. Which makes it difficult when your BFF is diabetic and needs his sugar checked multiple times a day. He’s learned to just look away, but really? Get over it dude. Being lions like at the front of the NYC Library. And sleepy lions too.Everyone loved the cupcakes. A lot. Olivia(Timmy’s other BFF) especially loves Jen. She’s always around her and wants to hold her hand. She’s even made friends with her daughter. Love Brady. My girls!! Jen’s even taught me how to check Jack and use the pump to add insulin or calculate what to feed him when he’s low so I can have Jack over or take him out. Being that he and Timmy are always together I really HAVE to know how. Look out for a special fundraiser for JDRF from bsquared photography coming up soon.

jourdan’s bat mitzvah
I was so excited to photography my first bat mitzvah, and Jourdan’s day certainly didn’t disappoint! And let me say that there is no way that I was this poised and lovely at 13. Isn’t she awesome?!
A little review before the actual ceremony. The whole lovely family. A little love from both sets of grandparents. Grandma was honored in Jourdan’s speech and I think she was a little moved! The wine is never as good as you think it’s going to be. Getting showered (or pummeled) with sweetness. Making the grand entrance to the party. Congratulations Jourdan! You did such a wonderful job and I know you had a great time at your party. Thanks for being easy for the pictures!!

the boch communion
Got to take some pictures for my very good friend, M and her gorgeous family who I adore. If you are a blog stalker, you may remember that both our families were at Disney at the exact same times, staying at the exact same hotel, and many days in the same parks…all without even planning it that way. The kids are so cute and when we moved from their house to the church grounds for some additional pictures, two of them came in my car.
Thanks for letting me capture your family again, M!

the mand confirmation & communion
My first confirmation shoot but not my first time doing work for this fantastic family. It was also their son’s communion earlier in the month, so we got pictures to celebrate both his communion and their beautiful daughters Confirmation.
Father Bill (who is also my friend- long story but the brief version is that we met at Fordham when we were both students in the Masters program for Social Work) was kind enough to stop by and take a few pictures with the kids. He actually baptized both of them! Stunning. Simply stunning. And a terribly handsome young man. Always love the everpresent twinkle in his eye.
