    the kell communion

I was so happy to hear from my biggest blog stalker to take some photos for her son’s communion. And I was the last to know…she’s expecting #5! A girl!! Now, that should be very interesting for everyone after 4 boys.

I was so happy that I was finally able to get the littlest one to smile! As long as I was telling him not to ‘shoot’ me, he was all giggles.

A little trampoline and trees help round out any communion shoot! Waiting for baby… You know the lint brush made an appearance after this shot! And then the cousins came over from yesterday’s shoot to get some pictures together and get ready for the BIG joint party.

    the case communion

Back to some more communions- getting toward the end, but I still have some great ones left to show you- like this one!

Going to be short on narrative today as I’m still way behind on the editing. But this lovely girl (who is apparently so NOT a girly-girl so we had to get some fun pictures of that too) her handsome, good natured brothers and her fantastic parents were so great to photograph. Stay tuned for a few more pictures of the ‘case’ family in the next blog post as she shared a party with her cousin.

    the petr communion

I’m sure that if you are a blog stalker you will recognize this gorgeous family from previous bsquared shoots. And while I have never done a shoot for them before (they were guests at another communion last year where I took their picture and mom & dad were at a few parties that I have photographed as well) I was so happy to do one for them this time, celebrating their twins first communion.

Dad and I went to high school together and it’s always nice doing work for people you already know.  A few details from the party. Another favorite bsquared family was there to celebrate too.  So, so pretty Miss A.  How cute is that baby?!  How is it possible to have this many good looking people in one family? Such  boys.  I think everyone had a great time.  Jerry is working on a fabulous video of the day and I’ll get that posted as soon as it’s ready.

    the baxl communion

I was so happy when my friend asked me to photograph her son’s communion. As it turns out, her son was my Jack’s “buddy” when they were in 1st grade and 4th grade and really hit it off. And when they were having construction done on their home, the rented a house across the street from us. So even though this poor kid had had it with me by the end of our time together, at least I was someone familiar to him in the beginning.

Mom and I have bonded a bit over Kindles and suggesting books to eachother. She’s one of the nicest people I’ve met. And again, as it turns out I know her sister from well, forever. We graduated together from HS, but me living in my little bubble I didn’t even realize that they were sisters until like a week before our shoot! Duh.

I swear the kid looks like a Kennedy in this picture.
Thanks for letting me capture your special day!

    the marc communion

In the meantime, it’s still communion season (well, at least here on the blog it is. In real life it’s all over except the editing!) and I have a beautiful communicant and her lovely family to post for you today.

There are some clients that are just really suited for black and white. These three were for sure! Mom & Dad who were so kind and welcoming! Really, she is just SO gorgeous and the shot on the left was all her idea. Girl after my own heart! Godparents.Grandparents. Cousins.  The whole family- even the photogenic doggy! Thanks for a great shoot! Hope the communion and the party all went as smoothly as the photoshoot!
