the czy 90th birthday
First, sorry for the delay on the new post. Been swamped with shoots and editing and just life. I’m back in the daily posting mode now, promise.
My good friend Jen’s grandfather celebrated is 90th birthday a few weeks ago with a wonderful party in Brooklyn and the family asked me to take pictures of this very special day. The view was fantastic and the party was filled with so much love for this man, it was just unbelievable. They are of Russian decent, so there was a whole new cultural experience for me…with the 3 toasts, singing, shots, etc. It was a real blast and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves tremendously, especially the "birthday boy". This was a FUN family!
The speeches that his son and his grandchildren gave were so heartwarming and heartfelt, I didn’t feel like I had just met the man an hour prior, but that I had known him for a very long time. Everyone was moved to tears on more than one occassion- but all happy tears. It was a great day!
Thank you for letting me share in it. Hope you enjoy your pictures. All of the photos from the day are in an album on the left side.

the tri 50th anniversary
There is no way this couple looks old enough to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, right??! So, they were like, what…twelve when they got married?
They were a fabulous couple and had a wonderful family. The grandkids were all so sweet and good and nice and with one not even one year old and one going off to college- quite a spread between them. All the parents of these great kids were super nice and welcoming and just a pleasure to work with for a few hours in the afternoon.
The mass was lovely and the party was intimate (just the family) and fun (with the pool). Thanks for letting me share in your special day, Tri family! Hope you enjoy the pictures. All of them are in an album on the left.

the cam sweet 16
My first sweet 16 party to shoot. Had a blast. The kids were all so nice and having a great time, it really just rubbed off. The party decor was fabulous. It was a luau theme, and they did it up perfectly. Lots of bright colors and fun little touches that just made the party. And the fact that their house and yard backs up right on to the water- fantastic.
The ‘birthday girl’ did some singing with the band- she is an aspiring singer. So not only gorgeous (and that girl knows how to pose perfectly!) and so sweet, but talented too! Not a bad combo at any age, but especially awesome at 16!
Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Collette! Please click HERE to view the rest of the evening’s pictures.

the car 100th birthday
This was such a wonderful celebration and I was so happy to be a part of it- even just taking photos. The birthday girl turned 100 years old. Dosen’t she look fabulous?! And not only does she look great- she is so together. I’m told she still goes to Atlantic City all the time and loves it. It was really great to see all of her family and friends just love her to bits. I think my favorite part (besides meeting my new boyfriends seen here)
was seeing her with her best friend. They have been BFF’s for something like 75 years. How awesome is that??!
And I lost count of how many people called her “my second mother”. She is a well loved lady.
Her original birth certificate.
How gorgeous is the whole family? They are from the Basque region (between Spain and France). See, not only to I get to meet all kinds of interesting new people at shoots, but learn new things pretty much every time I do.
Hope the rest of the party was just as fun as the beginning. Happy 100th birthday, Maria! You’re awesome!

the rote 1st birthday
I’m sure you’ll remember this little (big) guy and his great family from previous shoots. Well, here they are again…this time celebrating his first birthday. A little family BBQ with grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins, and of course mom, dad, & big brother too.
It was his cousin’s birthday as well. She got a pretty ballerina cake.
It’s my party and I can cry if I want to? We moved him away from his ball & he was not pleased. But Daddy helped him make a quick recovery.
He REALLY liked his elmo/cookie monster cake. A lot. Can you tell? I left just as they were starting to clean the birthday boy up. It was going to be a big job! Hope it wasn’t that kind frosting that has a little perma-stain to it!
