the mol communion
Here’s another "you may remember" family, from way back when. This family is another one of my very first clients- I did a shoot for them with tons of Coach stuff (bags, umbrellas, hats, etc) as their dad works for Coach. Three little blonde haired cuties, these kids. They are just so gorgeous! The oldest made her First Communion last weekend and the party was down at their beach club. While the day was pretty chilly and quite grey, we managed to get a bunch of great shots- especially of the kids down at the beach.
Don’t ya just love the very color coordinated family? And speaking of color coordinated, check out the picture of the mom and her good friends. They said they didn’t even plan it…I’m not convinced! It was just all too perfect!
And my all time most favorite shot from the whole day…talk about perfection! I think all that’s missing is a little halo around her head!

the mcn communion
This is one of John’s partners at work (yeah, not the kid, the dad) and we were invited to his son’s communion last weekend. So we went and I worked a little too and we all had a great time. All the boys really get along so well- even the biggest of boys. Which is probably a good thing cause John spends more time with Kevin than with anyone else– even me. Kevin, like John, does. not. smile. Ever. I had to make sure I got one picture of the two of them scowling. I think they should hang it up at work with a caption underneath it "are you billing??" They are some kinda scary bosses, huh?
Anyway, the communion boy was such a great sport and so good for me. Both boys did pretty much whatever I asked of them. And I think they were pretty happy with the fact they got to mess around a little plus stand on their beds. Mom was pretty relieved when the picture part of the day was done- mostly because her boys stayed neat and clean up until that point! It was a great, small party and everyone had a super time. Thanks for inviting us!

the mcc communion & confirmation
Two boys celebrating two big milestones- one a First Communion, one a Confirmation. So it was a double party with double the fun. You will recognize a number of the party guests (as well as the location) from a few other shoots I’ve done for this group. It’s a good thing they are so much fun since I see them all so often! Can’t wait for the next one…

the con communion
We interrupt your regularly scheduled wedding to bring you the con communion shoot (we will resume with wedding programming next week).
This lovely (and beachy) family was referred to me by one of my previous and also fabulous clients. Such a cute, close knit family. The little girl is making her communion this week so we cheated a little and did the shoot this week. She was just gorgeous. And we had a beautiful day for this shoot- it was even a little hot out! Dad ended up taking half a day off work for the pictures, so he couldn’t hate me too much cause he ended up with a day off on a gorgeous day. Anything positive to point out to the dads/husbands to make them hate me a little less is a good thing. You know the list of dads/husbands that hate me is lOOOOOOng.
It was soooooo bright on the beach, it was a real challenge to take pictures with everyone’s eyes open and not squinting. Plus the fact that there were quite a few bees and bugs which were freaking out the kids. The beach is sometimes a difficult place to shoot. I think I managed a few though. I told Mom that she reminded me of a celebrity (to which she said that everyone thinks she looks like Sarah Jessica Parker)– but I say Holly Hunter. Especially with her little sweet voice. Really, they were all so nice. And the boy couldn’t have been more polite. So, without further delay, the con family.

the coo communion
One more communion for ya…but the season isn’t over yet! And I’m trying to catch up as much as possible.
You may recognize this family from a shoot at their house back in February. Had a great time with them yet again (well, I had a great time. I think Dad and son (and Grandpa this time too!) really have had it with me and my camera!) and hit my favorite place up at church for some portraits.
Another one of those odd 6 degrees type situations…one of the guests at the party (who is the mom’s cousin) ends up being back in the band that I’ve been doing lots of work for- The Turn. He apparently had been in the band, left for a while, and then came back. So I saw him at the communion (even though I didn’t know who he was at the time) and then again a few nights later IN the band. Small world, huh?
