introducing…baby daniel
So excited to photograph this little 3 week old and his fantastic family. I’ve photographed the girls for a number of years now and it’s been so fun watching them grow up! Now we have a whole new family member to have in all the photographs!
I kinda went a little mixed on this session with some lifestyle/photojournalistic shots (which is the way I prefer to photograph newborns. I enjoy seeing them in their element with their family, especially in mom & dad’s safe and loving arms. Or sisters!) and some more traditional newborn photos for good measure, too.
This little guy was all smiles for me. How awesome is that?!Some eye contact, huh? It was pretty fleeting but I caught at least one glance in my direction.Daddy left me a whole table (literally) of Giants paraphernalia to choose from. I picked the bucket. (and please note that this is a composite photograph- his head was supported at all times and he was safe with Mommy’s hands on him the whole time). Beautiful!Ok, the one on the right- welcome to the very glamorous life of newborn photography! At least mommy had a great sense of humor about being peed on, and some Resolve carpet cleaner. More importantly it was only pee….This little guy is going to be more loved than he can even imagine.

introducing…baby ava
A brand new baby and a brand new to bsquared family who I was lucky enough to photograph recently. Baby Ava was a doll, especially since she slept so well for our session. She was gorgeous with all of her beautiful clothes that her mom had ready for her session. Such a pretty pink princess! But even with all the clothes, we still had to do a few nakey baby shots.
Such a wonderful family! Even the dog, Butter, was a great model!I think they’re both pretty much totally in love!Grandma and Daddy are totally in love too!A closet that is the envy of any girl. Especially one that likes pink! This was mom’s favorite dress. I can see why! And the way she put her hands? That was all Ava.So nice meeting all of you and thank you for sharing your beautiful little girl with me for a few hours!

kristen & raul- bbq
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kristen & Raul’s wedding a few weeks ago, but before the wedding day I got to meet lots of family and friends at Kristen’s brother & sister in law’s house for a bbq in their honor. It was a great way to start to get to know the bride & groom and their families & closest friends before the chaos and fun of the wedding day.
*edited to add that it was SO TOTALLY HOT on the day of the bbq. Like I can’t breathe hot. Like there is no air hot. Like I’m gonna die hot. Like worse than Africa hot. But everyone was having so much fun that it doesn’t even show in the pictures. Its a very good thing I was behind the camera though, cause it was not pretty. At all.
The lovely bride & groom.
In addition to my photographing the bbq, Kristen and her siblings arranged for me to take a family photo for her mom’s birthday. So here’s the whole family!Raul, his brother, his mom & his bride. And the extended family.Mom & Dad and their 5 kids. Mom and her BFF- they’ve been besties since they were little girls.Cousins from Stockholm. Cheers with Grandma! (that adorable little guy is the same baby that’s on my blog header at a few months old, smiling big for me!)A few faces from the party that I just had to photograph! The beautiful flower girl.More from Kristen & Raul’s wedding coming to the blog soon. Still trying so hard to catch up!

It has been newborn city around here lately. And lots of girls which is always a nice change of pace for me! I’ve photographed this lovely family a bunch of times now and I’m so excited for them adding on another beautiful girl for me to take photos of! You can view big sister Sophia’s newborn session, a family session and a more recent family session if you’d like to see the progression of their little family.
Those eyes and lashes.

Not only did I get to photograph their beautiful wedding (here, here and here too) and their son when he was a newborn and then again a few years later, I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their brand new baby girl just last week! I love having long histories with families and watching them grow and becoming friends with them! Melissa- hope you are catching up on some sleep! Thank you so much for the wonderful session and for sharing your family with me. Again!
Gorgeous family, right?I have a similar photo of Daddy and their little boy when he was a baby. He’s already an amazing big brother. Protective, sweet and kind. And I couldn’t love the smattering of freckles across his nose more. Isn’t she just the prettiest, pinkest little bundle?Little content smiles.Just chillin.I’m so funny I even got the baby to laugh.
