the demar family
This family was gifted with a bsquared session by mom’s work friends and I was so happy when she emailed to set up the appointment. We braved yet another crappy weather day and I was concerned about the lighting, but their home was filled with light (and love) even on a cloudy day.
And with smiles like these, who really cares about the weather?!
They really love eachother. And I love the interaction here. The fist under the chin in the picture on the right? Too cute!We lost Mr. N pretty quickly, I’m apparently no match for Club Penguin. He was sliding down out of his chair complaining and laughing that I said “just one more” when it was actually several more. Back on Club Penguin. But I wasn’t allowed to take any more pictures of him. So I snuck in a feet shot. Pretty mommy- Phoebe Kates, right?A happy little girl in her pink tutu and her pink room. Ahhhhh….
Thanks for a great and sunny shoot without the sun!

robin & eoin
As those of you who are friends or blog stalkers know the story of my BFF from college and her miracle baby who was born at 25 weeks. You can always read their story here. Eoin turned 2 (omg, where did the time go?!) yesterday and is doing amazingly well! With the red hair, green eyes and beaming smile he had me drooling over him the minute I got there. And then when he loved playing with me and let me hold him? Done.
So one week from today, Robin & Joe (and Eoin too) will be welcoming their identical twin girls!!!!!!! to the family. Robin’s going full term with this pregnancy, and although they had an IVF appointment set up, they found out a week before the appointment that she was pregnant. With twins. On their own. Totally crazy and a miracle. Again!
Look how good Robin looks!! When I first walked in and saw her, I said you aren’t so big at all. Especially not for twins! Right? From the side view, there are definitely two babies in there! And I know she cannot wait for them to be born so she can breathe because her lungs aren’t in her neck anymore. And eat more than 5 bites without feeling full cause her stomach is squished someplace in there. And walk without baby A’s head pressing on her siatic nerve at every step. I know these things because I was pregnant with twins once (and cause she told me!)Eoin’s pretty excited, too!Omg, kill me now with that smile. And don’t even get me started on those eyelashes. I’m funny. Especially to two year olds. So in college, Robin painted this beautiful picture of a girl in a clearing in a forest, with dark hair, looking down. It was never quite finished (at least not to Robin) but I always loved it. And the shot of Robin on the left reminds me SO much of that painting.
Eoin is enjoying the new minivan they just got. With three kids, it’s what you gotta do. Cannot wait until ‘the’ phonecall next Friday. And to find out what the girls names are (cause Robin won’t tell me and I’m so impatient)! And to see if they have Eoin’s coloring. And who they look like. And to go back up and take a thousand twin newborn pictures!! Stay tuned and please send all of your good thoughts to Robin, Joe & Eoin on a very easy delivery and recovery with healthy twin girls!

the smi family
My umpteenth time photographing this family, who I adore taking pictures of (so, it works for all of us!!). The baby got so big since I’ve last seen them and the kids are all as delicious and sweet as ever. Grandma & Grandpa got in on the photos this time (much to Grandpa’s dismay, but Dad’s relief I think!!) so they’ll have some pictures with them in it to show off to their friends.
Aren’t they so cute together?!The family will be moving in a few months (not far, just to a new home in town) so I tried to get a few of the kids in their rooms for posterity. Hope all of you enjoy the pictures!!

welcome home, annabella!!
After a very long 5 year wait my friends adopted a baby girl from China, making their family of 5 (they have 3 boys, too!) into a family of 6. Jenn was nice enough to let me crash their homecoming at Kennedy Airport two weeks ago for their baby girl’s big debut to snap some pictures of the reunited, thrilled family! What an honor it was for me, especially after following Jenn & her mom’s travels in China, watching her meet her baby girl and watching them getting to know eachother all thru Facebook updates and Jenn’s blog. There were a number of tears shed behind the camera, too!
The waiting is the hardest part (thanks, Tom Petty) but there was quite a long one from touch down to making it thru customs.
The whole gang. Three very excited big brothers! Love how they got all dressed up to meet their new sister. More waiting… (this was at around 11:30pm so there was definitely some exhaustion mixed in with the waiting. That, plus the fact they hadn’t seen their mom for just over 2 weeks just made the anticipation all the worse.)And, here they are!!Beautiful, beautiful baby. Annabella went right to her daddy and seemed quite comfortable there for the rest of the evening. Love the way he looks at her the rest of the night. Meeting her brothers and looking quite content about it. She really liked Devin’s hat. First picture of Mommy, Daddy and Annabella together. What a special moment and I am so lucky I got to capture it. And the first picture of the whole H family. Yes, I know you are crying now, too. I had noticed that she kept making this face on the pictures that Jenn posted from China, so I figured I’d make it at her and see if she would do it back. And she did! Smart and gorgeous little cookie!!Going to her forever home. H family- wishing all of you all the happiness in the world (but, you already have that!) an easy, smooth adjustment for Annabella and all of you. And all the love you can stand!! Thank you so very much for letting me photograph this for you. I hope you and Annabella will treasure the pictures of her first meeting the rest of her family and her first time on US soil in her new homeland. xoxo

the slat family {& tiffany’s christening}
A new to bsquared family, but one that I’ve known thru all the boys. Their second oldest is in class with the big boys and their second youngest is in class with Timmy. They were celebrating their newest addition’s Christening (in style, I might add- do you love all the Tiffany stuff for little Miss Tiffany?! I knew it was going to be a great shoot after seeing the whole family’s coordinating outfits and the Tiffany bags set up just for me!)
Isn’t she just a beautiful baby?!
The same face. Four beautiful blonde girls. You know I love some baby feet. And baby feet in a row with a ton of fabulous shoes? Even better! My first time seeing a baby roll her eyes. As in, what are you doing to me?!Ridiculously good looking family! Thanks for a great session- hope the Christening and party were wonderful!
