the enck family
Blog stalkers followers may recognize this family from a recent Christening (not theirs but the mom was the godmother). Had a great time meeting up with them at their home for a photoshoot.
The baby was not so into me, the bright light outside, or the camera but we somehow got a little smile here and there. He was so so cute! Loved the squishy, pink cheeked sleeping one too.
The little girl was so sweet and delicious in her little playhouse her daddy & grandpa built and in her pretty pink tutu.
Aren’t they just a happy little bunch?

the miracle baby {eoin}
My best friend from University of Miami, Robin, had baby Eoin (pronounced Owen) on the day she started her 25th week of her pregnancy with him. It was so scary and the outcome was so very unsure. But after 2 days shy of 4 months in the NICU up at Yale, it gives me SUCH pleasure to show all of you his pictures today (a nice birthday present for me and something positive on this otherwise very sad day).
He is doing so wonderfully, all of his tests are coming back totally great! He is truly a miracle. He’s on some supplemental oxygen but the very lowest setting and it’s not as life support or anything, but just to help him out a little and to keep him from working hard at breathing so he can use that energy to grow and eat. Oh, and smile!
Robin told me last night that he is now tipping the scales at 7.5lbs (he was just 2lbs when he was born in April).
He’s totally interactive and looks right at you when you talk to him. I’m thrilled that he likes his ‘blankie’ from Aunt Beth as Aunt Robin bought Timmy his blankie. Its now a tradition.
Robin couldn’t be more in love or happier that Eoin is home and doing great.
And before anyone says anything about Joe not being in the picutes, he was out doing errands and got back like 2 minutes before I left. Next time for daddy! Oh, and if Joe was there, we probably couldn’t have used the apple hat that Robin wanted.
Joe and Robin, thank you SO much for letting me visit (I’ll be staying away for a while now that my walking petri dishes are back in school cause I don’t want to bring any of those germs to Eoin). Can’t wait to see him again and watch him grow and get stronger.

the cree family
Hold on to yourselves for the most gorgeous family and their newest addition, who by the way is also gorgeous. Tiny, but gorgeous!
She was exactly 1 week old on the day of the shoot. Deliciousness.
Hands had to be by her face at all times. And if they didn’t start out that way, you can bet they ended up there.
Love all the blondies.
All the kids and mom and dad are enamored of their newest little girl. Only just a little…
Not only a gorgeous family, but so fun too! I was a happy photographer!

the lapi family
Travelled out to Fire Island for this fabulous shoot. And I know Mom is waiting for me to say that this was my first and last Fire Island shoot due to the long trip, break in shooting, and walking hiking all over Kismet in the sand. But, I would love to do it again! It was so nice there and we got some awesome stuff.
The ferry schedule wasn’t exactly condusive to the times I wanted to be there for the best lighting for the beach shoot, so when I arrived we snapped a bunch in their house where the light was juuuussst right. Then since it was way too early for a beach shoot, I went and had a really nice lunch all by myself (and with the Kindle) and met back up with the family in enough time to get the rest of the shoot done.
How much of a cutie pie is this little guy. His mom and dad couldn’t possibly adore him more. Well, maybe if he slept thru the night!!
We were all over the place in Kismet- the dock, the wagons, the lighthouse and surrounding area, the beach, back to the dock. All in a day’s work!
Thank you all for such a spectacular day and shoot! To see all of the images from this shoot, please click HERE.

beyrer baseball trip- part 5 (michigan friends + a mini session)
So glad we included Michigan on this trip so we could see our good friends (and Jack & Patrick’s BEST friend) who moved there 6 years ago. It’s so great seeing them fall immediately back into the groove of being friends within seconds of arriving.
They treated us to a nice (real food/nonbaseball park) meal for dinner (thank you!), the boys played some backyard baseball, Timmy and Katie played together, and the kids all watched A Christmas Story before bed.
The next day they took us over to their pool for a swim. The pool was great and all the boys had a blast. The slide was definitely a favorite (even though Timmy dosen’t look like he’s enjoying it, he did!) From there we went to the Tigers game (pictures on that in tommorrow’s post).
We even squished in a very mini-session for Maureen’s good friend and neighbor and her gorgeous kids. I didn’t have my favorite lenses with me, so the pictures aren’t quite up to the usual standards, sorry. But I hope you like the few that I got, J. The baby’s hair sticks straight up, no matter what they do with it. Too cute!! To view all of the images, please click HERE.
Timmy and Katie slept in her room on the floor in sleeping bags, while all the boys (Connor & Spencer, Jack & Patrick) slept on the bunk beds and aerobeds in Spencer’s room. John and I took over Connor’s room (thanks, dude!). Everyone was up waaaaay late- adults included. But you gotta get in the visit and laughs while you can!
Detroit Tigers game coming up next…
