the elia family
This family received a bsquared gift certificate from their friends (and my friend Miss Judy the director) at Music Together where mom is a teacher. The gift certificate was in celebration of their newest addition. And although we scheduled a newborn shoot to begin with, mom decided she’d rather hold off until the baby was a bit bigger and we could all go outside and enjoy the nice weather.
We did some shots both at home and at a local park (you may recognize Stepping Stone Park from the good family’s shoot posted last week). Great, great location and I love shooting there. But you can only get in if you are a resident. Bummer for me.
All the kids are brimming with personality and fun.
Dad tried to cheat his way out of the slide picture, but I busted him and made him go along with the program.
It was so great meeting you, Elia family. Hope to see you again soon. To see all of the images from this session, please click HERE.

the good family
Ok, I’m going to be perfectly honest here. I was feeling pretty sick on the day of this shoot and was heading up to Great Neck for the first of 3 seperate shoots in Great Neck over a 2 day period. All of which = not a great mood. Then, I saw three boys hop out of the car and thought I was going to get my butt kicked cause I would have to be running around after them all over the park feeling so crappy already. I was not looking forward to the whole thing which isn’t really like me.
But then…
The boys were SO good and cooperative and cute.
And the family’s coordinating outfits were so perfect.
And mom and dad were such nice people and fun.
And the nanny was kind and helpful with the smile procurement. And the location was so pretty. So before I realized it, I forgot that I was sick and was having a great time and getting some awesome shots.
Mom is originally from Russia. That’s one of those languages I could listen to all day without understanding a word and still enjoy it thoroughly. Their nanny who has been with them for about 3 years is also Russian so I got a good dose of conversation.
Thank you good family- I had a great time meeting all of you. You were wonderful and I hope you enjoy the pictures. To view all of the images from this shoot, please click HERE.

the crow family
This family has quickly become one of my most favorite to photograph. Not only are the kids sweet, good looking, and photogenic, but Mom and I think the same. There’s a lot of “ahhh…just leave it like that. That’s what he/she is all about right now” when it comes to thumb sucking, face making, etc…the lack of “perfection” during shoots- which ends up being actually perfect. Love that about them.
We crammed this shoot in on a Monday morning and let the big kids miss a little school for about an hour (well, the biggest boy was really the only one missing a little school, the little girl goes to preschool) and Daddy went into work a little on the late side. We had rescheduled a few times due to rain and other circumstances so I think we were all happy (well, Mommy and I anyway) to finally get this shoot done. So thank you to the whole family for working this shoot into your Monday schedule!
The kids are seriously great! Mr. T is such a good kid and we talked some about baseball and the myriad of other sports that he plays. He was patient and great with me and his siblings, and oh so polite.
Little Miss Z is such a little pip. She had a card that she made for me all ready when I walked in the door. Ummm, can you say LOVE?? She’s fiercely into the thumb so you will see that reflected in some of the pictures. And apparently the scrunched nose with mischevious eye twinkle is totally HER. Glad I caught it and that Mommy enjoys that I did!
The majority of the purpose of the shoot was to document the 6 month mark for the baby. So after Daddy left for work, Mr. T went to school, and grandma took Miss Z to the library, mommy and I got to work with the baby. The baby of yummy basket sitting, feet grabbing, chunky all over, leaning to the side, huge toothless grin giving, round peach fuzz headed, twinkly eye deliciousness?? Yeah, that baby.
Uh huh….I told ya. YummyDeliciousness he is.
Hope you enjoy all the pictures, Crow family. To see all of the images from the shoot, please click HERE.

the fara family
This great little family came to me thru my good friend Jen, and I’m so glad they did. They were gifted with a bsquared session and mom decided to put it to good use for their twin girls’ first birthday.
Really, how cute are these girls?? Yes, identical. Yes, delicious.
We really wore the poor things out in our hour of shooting and they were SO ready for a nap by the end. After they were down, mom and I had a nice little twin chat for a bit.
Suffice it to say, they are truly very blessed. And yes, I tried to get mom & dad to participate but they promised they would next time. I’m holding you to it, J!!!

the beyr baby
AKA…baby superfly noodles, James William, Sweet Baby James, Jamie, and I’m sure more to come.
More importantly, the newest member of the Beyrer family. And the 7th boy out of 7 grandchildren/cousins.
And most importantly….gorgeous, sweet and loved already. And the full head of hair?? OMG…too cute!!
The baby is the spitting image of his daddy. This is SO a Joe face.
Gail was surprised by the grumpy face. I told her she’d better get used to it… he is a Beyrer afterall!!
The original baby (Jack the rescued Greyhound) and the Uncle. Gives some perspective on how teeny tiny he really is, huh?
Thanks Joe and Gail for the fun hour and letting me take lots of pictures. He was fantastic. And I FINALLY got my sleeping squished up baby!!!!
