    the demi family

    After seeing them two summers ago for an extended family session, this family moved to Ohio so I was very excited that mom (who I went to high school with) got in touch letting me know they would be in town for a little while and wanted to book a session. It was awesome catching up (although since I post so much on Facebook, there wasn’t much she didn’t already know about me, so we talked mostly about her move- all good with me!) and although we had a not so great weather day with tons of wind,  we fit in the shoot just before the first raindrops fell on the car on the way home. I just quickly looked back at their session two years ago and am completely blown away by how big the kids got, especially the boys.

    This one has enough personality packed in for about 6 people.Maura, you are defying the years! Gorgeous!

    robby’s christening

    Getting closer to being caught up, but not quite there yet. Robby (who’s newborn session I did a few months ago) was christened a few weeks back at St Raymond and then celebrated with a big party back at his parents house. It was a lovely, but really hot, day and for the short time I was there it looked like everyone was having a great day, even Robby!

    I love his chubby cheeks.

    Not thrilled w the anointing process, and poor big sister Natalie looks worried. He was fine within seconds and went right back to sleep.The big moment. Which he slept thru. Now that’s one happy, blessed baby!
    Yes, this is their backyard. The whole thing. Looks like an amusement park, right? So much of it (or possibly all of it) was destroyed during Sandy with the water in the river coming up so high it flooded their house too. But it’s gorgeous and perfect again after a ton of hard work. Dad HATES getting his picture taken. This was perhaps the only time in my history of knowing this family that I didn’t have to remind him to smile. Knowing nothing about workshops myself even I could tell this one is beyond amazing. I love his neatness and organization. There’s a fire pit under that table. Cousins.Besties. One of the owners of my dog I no longer own. Adorbs.I’m sure you remember this handsome boy from his christening and party.The next two pictures weren’t set up, but are so perfect. Besties and besties- the mothers to the daughters.

    the pana family

    As a gift for their mom/grandma, this fantastic family chose a backyard session when they were all together for Annie’s high school graduation. The part of the family that was hosting the session live around the block from me so I rolled my suitcase of gear on over and shot in the pretty backyard with gorgeous light. The seemingly constant rain this year has been a huge pain and a giant bummer and caused so many sessions to be rescheduled, but when there is sun the light is amazing. So there’s that. I think mom/grandma was really happy to have all her kiddies (both grown and little) together and I hope I captured that in the photos.

    Could not get enough of their curly hair. Pretty & proud! And definitely not old enough to have those grown children, grandchildren and even one great grandchild. Well, we tried.Annie’s off to college in just a few short weeks. All the grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Siblings. Nothin but curls and gorgeous light.

    sarah {no more braces!}

    You may recognize Miss Sarah from her Bat Mitzvah almost two years ago (wow, already? that went so fast!). Well, she recently got her braces off, so a photoshoot was in order to celebrate! And celebrate we did at a fantastic location with awesome outfits and accessories. Sarah, you look beautiful (with or without braces!) and I had a great time. Your energy was contagious!

    Had a little sun flare fun.

    the kell family

    A brand new to bsquared family, referred to me by my high school friend Jenn (thanks Jenn!). We decided to meet halfway between us at the always lovely Manor Park in Larchmont in the evening. It was my first time shooting there in the later hours of the day and it was gorgeous! I’m having a real problem lately narrowing down the photos for the blog posts so they seem to be getting longer and longer. So get comfy and check out this little family with their amazing connection to each other (and their 3 rescue pugs, too!)

    Daddy’s head doubles as an arm rest apparently.But they sure do love each other!Handsome guy.The family has adopted 3 rescue pugs that they love dearly so had to get a few shots of them, too.They were my very first family that I photographed at Manor Park that actually went down into the water. And I didn’t ask, they just went. Awesome!Favorite! Thanks so much for a great session!! And M- I’m so glad we’re Facebook friends now. We have a whole lot in common!
