ellie’s cinco de mayo first communion
A fabulously fun party for a fabulously fun girl! Since it was on May 5th, they had to go with the Cinco de Mayo theme. And she rocked it all!
Totally her.

the taba family
A brand new to bsquared family (thanks Ari for the referral!) who was my first session after Timmy’s communitzvah. I prayed for easy kids and nice weather- and pretty much lucked out on all accounts. We met up at Gerry Park in Roslyn for our session in full on midday sun, so we had to get a little creative finding some shade and to stay away (far, far away) from the ducks & geese that one of the girls did NOT like.
They were tons of fun and loads of energy and I just adored the interaction between them all.
Oh, hi there.I do love his horrified face.

the farr family
A winner of a bsquared giveaway for a free mini session, they “cashed in” their session a few weeks ago. We had to reschedule a few times due to weather, a bad fall, and other varied mishaps but in the end we got it done and that’s what’s important. This family has been through a LOT recently (yeah, thanks Sandy) so I was so happy to see some big smiles and a super strong love for each other while they were in front of my camera. I don’t doubt that this positive attitude and great commitment to each other helped them all pull through. Hoping for easier times ahead for you all!
Mom is a bit of a photographer herself, so I tried to get as many pictures with her in them as possible. I know what that’s like…
Yeah, I can still see you. But it was a nice try.

claire’s first communion
Was so excited to photograph this family again, this time for Claire’s first communion. Mom and I have become friends along the way which is my favorite thing in photographing families!
No point in having a poofy dress if you can’t twirl. So beautiful. So many good looking kids in one family. My favorite series in the bunch. She was promised a chocolate lollipop if she did a good job for the pictures- she sure did! (love the chocolate face so!)Mom will just love this one, I’m sure. I think she needs to change her name to Snow White.Total favorite.

the arme family (well, most of them anyway)
When my friend Heidi asked me to come take some pictures of her and the kids (and the dog) to give to her husband Joe for his 50th birthday this week, of course I jumped at the chance. Superquick session and even faster turnaround needed to get the pictures ready in time to give to Joe. I heard he loved them so it was all worth it!
I’ve known this one since he was a year old. He completely towers over me now. Time does fly.Rachel, I told you I’d blog it if you made this face. Believe me now?The best subject!Love you guys! Happy 50th Joe!
