the riom family
A first time to bsquared family for a mini session at the GC Cathedral grounds. So, so nice to meet them and get to know them a little during our time together. Everyone was so nice and after a little time of warming up, they were all naturals in front of the camera! And I really think these kids need to model. Like immediately.

the bois family
A session 2 years in the making, so glad we finally got it in! We had to reschedule a number of times due to illnesses, sports, etc and it took 2 years to finally make it work. I’ve photographed them a few times before and was looking forward to seeing the whole family again!
This fun family of 3 boys was a great way to start out a day of mini sessions at the Garden City Cathedral grounds (so get ready to see lots of families on the blog coming up this week at the same location).
Nothing quite like brotherly love!

zoe’s workshop- part 3
You can find part 1 and part 2 here. Our last family (which again, completely styled and conceptualized by the fab Zoe herself) was just gorgeous and it was so obvious how much they enjoyed spending time together. The location was to die for (I really, really wish we had areas around here that looked like this) and the light amazing. I wish I had taken a picture of all the fabulous new photografriends I made in our workshop, but none of us thought of it until we were all bedraggled, sweaty, frizzy, exhausted messes (and then no one wanted a picture!)
This is the last installment of the Zoe workshop photos, I’m sad to say. But I learned a lot and it was a great experience. So glad I got to do it!

introducing…baby daniel
So excited to photograph this little 3 week old and his fantastic family. I’ve photographed the girls for a number of years now and it’s been so fun watching them grow up! Now we have a whole new family member to have in all the photographs!
I kinda went a little mixed on this session with some lifestyle/photojournalistic shots (which is the way I prefer to photograph newborns. I enjoy seeing them in their element with their family, especially in mom & dad’s safe and loving arms. Or sisters!) and some more traditional newborn photos for good measure, too.
This little guy was all smiles for me. How awesome is that?!Some eye contact, huh? It was pretty fleeting but I caught at least one glance in my direction.Daddy left me a whole table (literally) of Giants paraphernalia to choose from. I picked the bucket. (and please note that this is a composite photograph- his head was supported at all times and he was safe with Mommy’s hands on him the whole time). Beautiful!Ok, the one on the right- welcome to the very glamorous life of newborn photography! At least mommy had a great sense of humor about being peed on, and some Resolve carpet cleaner. More importantly it was only pee….This little guy is going to be more loved than he can even imagine.

the stei family
My second time photographing these guys- such a fun and busy family! It was a gorgeous night at the beach and we had a great time running around and playing. Oh, and taking pictures too! At the end of our session, I left them in the ocean jumping some waves. I think that was a pretty good ending, especially for their oldest son who was thoroughly enjoying himself!
Love the light in these. They had big squishy hugs like these in our last session too!
