introducing…baby evie
Baby Evie (really Evangeline- i loooooove her name!) making her debut on the bsquared blog! I’ve photographed this awesome little family for a few years now, since the now middle boy was a newborn. I felt like I was just there for that like last month, not like 3 years ago! Can’t wait to watch this loved little girl grow up!

mia’s senior session
What an amazing session I had with this gorgeous senior (and her mom & sister, too!) Mom and I have been friends since Kindergarten and this is my third time photographing their awesome family. You can find their first session with me here– funny, a similar setting & vibe to this session! When they told me they wanted to do senior pictures at the Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn you KNOW I was all about that! The location was aaaaaamazing and Mia (and mom & sister) rocked the eff out of it. It was a photographers dream! We only needed an 80s soundtrack in the background and a few cars towed from in front of some walls of art, and about 20 degrees cooler with normal humidity levels. Picture overload coming- sorry, couldn’t narrow it down.
The picture on the left reminded me of Amanda Jones in Some Kind of Wonderful as soon as I took it!

the beil family
I always love shooting this crew, even extra because they live one town away from my bestie in Connecticut so I always make a visit out of it too. We did their session nice and early in the season this time around because it seems whenever we schedule the shoot it is inevitably the coldest day of the year! And oddly enough even though it was still warm out and summer, it was the coolest day in months. So the streak isn’t broken. Their middle girl blew me away this year, I mean just look at her! That hair! She took her hair out of a pony and it looked just like that. Women spend thousands of dollars to have hair like that and it’s just a regular day for her. So gorgeous! She rocked the shoot!

kenny’s birthday/block party/rockshow
I can’t even believe it’s been a year since the last one because it feels like last week, not last year! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really cooperating much this year, but we still managed to make it work and they even were able to uncover the equipment long enough to play a little too. Hope everyone had a great time at the party- I was so happy to be there to photograph a little of it. (we couldn’t light the candles on the birthday cake because rain & wind, but i hope Kenny’s wishes came true anyway!)

the gilr family
When you get the call that there are 17 people in the family from the ages of 4 to 74, as a photographer you tend to freak out a little. But then meeting them again (after 7 years since the last time i photographed them. you can see that shoot here: http://www.bsquaredphotography.net/?p=14827 ) i was very quick to realize /remember just how awesome they all are. Everyone in the whole family is just so nice, funny, happy and cooperative. It was a breeze and so fun for me to shoot! I do have to give a special shout out to the grandparents for creating such an amazing bunch of people, and all the parents for their beautifully behaved, polite, great kids! I hope its not another 7 years until i see them again! And the puppy!!!! omg the puuuuppppy. p
