greyson’s first communion
You would (hopefully) never know by the pictures, but this poor kid was soooo sick that day. I’ve been photographing him (and his family) since he’s been born, so of course I have a huge soft spot for him and I felt so terrible that he was feeling so badly. He was the biggest ever trouper and smiled so well for me. I tried to make it as fast and painless as possible. I heard he felt better later in the day so at least he was able to rally and enjoy his party a bit. I’m hoping he doesn’t hold it against me for our next session!!

sonia’s first communion party
A few weeks ago I posted Sonia’s first communion portraits. Well, then I got to photograph a bit of her party too! As an aside, do you know that peacocks sound EXACTLY like the bird Kevin in the movie Up? You learn something new every day. Her party was at the Milleridge Inn (where there are peacocks around the grounds so that tidbit of info wasn’t totally out of left field!) and it was so fun for me to take some pictures in the village before heading inside to the party. Hope you like her party photos as much as you liked the portraits!

adeline’s first communion
The littlest in a family of 4 boys, she is the only (and gorgeous) girl! Though she be little, she is fierce! We did a quick mini session the morning of her communion. Besides the fact that I got big Cameron Diaz in My Best Friend’s Wedding vibe from her in her dress, she is STILL not one to mess with no matter how pretty she is. Besides 4 brothers to protect her, she stands up for herself just fine on her own. Hope the day was wonderful and that the weather stayed nice after a rough start that morning.

grace’s first communion
Still catching up on communion season (that’ll be the case for a while). I’ve now photographed 3 out of the 4 kids in this awesome family for their first communions and this time it was Miss Grace’s turn. Being the only girl in a family full of boys must be kinda rough! She was lovely under the dogwood tree. So glad we finally got the tree in bloom this year, just in time for Grace!

teddy’s 1st communion
I’ve been photographing this not so little guy and his family for years and was so excited for him (and his orange pants!) for his first communion. I do need to mention that I miss his curls terribly! We did a mini session at home to help alleviate some of the stress of the day. Watching the little ones grow up (I’ve been photographing them since they were born) has been a joy too. I hope the rest of the day was great, stress free and that you didn’t kill yourself in your hot high heels, D.
