the blai family- all of them!

Longtime and fabulous clients had their whole extended family in from all over the country and wanted to document their time together. So we shot down at Pt. Lookout where the grandparents summer right before a storm moved it. In fact, it starting raining just as I drove away. Couldn’t have asked for better timing, and we got some great skies out of it too.

    the stac family

One of my favorite families that have been with me for a very long time- the kids get cuter and more fun every time we meet which says a lot, cause they’re pretty cute and fun to begin with!! We had amazing skies for our session with a beautiful long island sunset over the ocean. And it was mom & dad’s anniversary that day- happy anniversary you love birds!

    the coo family

After many years of friendship and photography, two exciting things happened…one, we finally did a beach session (mom has a “slight” obsession with Christmas, so we have always done Christmas time photos in the past but a beach session was always in negotiations thru the years), and two, Dad who is not a fan of pictures, actually asked me to take them this year. I think we’re all starting to freak out a little that our kids are getting so big and will all be off to college in the next few years. As always, so happy to see this family wherever we shoot, they’re totally awesome!!

    introducing…baby theo

A brand new to bsquared family with a brand new baby boy. And the cutest little big sister, possibly ever. The whole family was just lovely to be around and a pleasure to photograph amidst the chaos that is a newborn baby, a toddler, workers in the house delivering furniture, etc. Wishing them lots of luck and love as they settle into being a family of 4!

    jesse is born

Almost two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to photograph a miracle. How many people can say that? And I get to say it twice because this was my second time photographing a birth for this fabulous family. You can see now “big brother” Jake’s birth slideshow here. This go round was at a much more civilized hour- I got the text around 9:30am, and headed over to the hospital by 10am. Jesse made his way into this world by 2:13pm, and I was home by 5pm on a complete high!! Things have changed at the hospital in the four years since photographing Jake’s arrival- last time I wasn’t allowed in until the last bit of pushing. This time I hung around with Jenn and family the entire time. There was even a live concert in her labor and delivery room. No, seriously.

Between applications of lipgloss, hair styling, epidurals (and the crappy side effects that go with that), joking, contractions, candy, doctors, nurses, dancing in bed, wardrobe changes for everyone (Jesse’s theme was black and white and the whole family got tshirts to match Jenn’s custom hospital gown and Jesse’s newborn “I was born today” onesie and hat) and the most fabulous delivery room socks ever,  there was a baby. A whole brand new, perfect little baby. Amazing. No words to describe being there for that. Not all the pictures made the video (it’s totally safe to watch- no “parts” to be seen) but most of my favorites are in there. So please take a look at Jesse’s birth (make sure your volume is on). And leave some love for the new little family of four!
