dylan’s first communion
So continuing on from yesterday’s session, here’s the fantastic family that I ended the last session with on the group photos- and now they have their own communion to celebrate.
The rain picked back up (you can see it in the pictures) but we made the best of it and shot as fast as we could to get all of us out of the rain.
Another set of grandparents to help celebrate the special day.
Thanks for a great session and for the sunny yellow accents that brightened the day up!

tyler’s first communion
Back into posting and editing communions for the next few days. Happy to bring you photos from Tyler’s first communion day. More of the rainy day, but we had a little break from the rain thankfully to get a few pictures in on the grounds of the church before his actual communion mass begun. I love photographing this family- they are always fun, funny and just so happy!
Grandma & Grandpa joined in for a few shots as well.
Their best friends son’s communion was during the mass immediately before theirs, so we got them all together for a few pictures, too. Nothing like celebrating with the whole gang!!

mothers day 2012
I had a great day last weekend for Mothers Day. We went to brunch (yum, soooo good!) at Hempstead with our whole family, my inlaws, my parents (my dad was finally feeling better and well enough to go!), and Joe, Gail, James & Quinn. The boys and John got me some great cards (some handmade- my favorite!), a gift certificate for a massage at the Garden City Hotel, and a new Coach bag & wallet. My mom bought me a super cute Mickey bag.
It was an awesome family day and I was feeling really grateful all day. Just brought along the little camera, but that thing definitely gets the job done.
The boys wore some pink just for me.
And for those of you playing along at home, my newest nephew (born to Joe and Gail yesterday morning) Joseph Rothwell made his debut weighing in at 8lbs, 6oz and everyone is doing great. So that is 9 grandchildren/cousins. And 9 boys. It’s kinda like Ferris Bueller- “nine times” . Pictures soon- I’m hoping to get to see him next week. Congrats to Joe, Gail, James & Quinn!!

peter’s first communion
A fantastic family and a break in the rain for a little bit made for a fantastic communion session for this very handsome little man.
You blog stalkers out there are sure to recognize the whole family from lots of previous sessions and the Education Foundation gala.
And my favorite from the session…

royals baseball vs. wb crush
Taking a break from the communion photos for a day and posting pictures from the most recent RVC Royals game. Unfortunately, they lost both games but they played well and finally started to keep their spirits up even when they were not doing great score wise.
Just a note- the sun was in and out so my exposures are all over the place. A sports photographer I am not, but I’m working on improving. I feel like I have to be able to look out of both eyes in different directions at the same time. So not happening.
And communions resume tomorrow. See you back here then.
