    the leon family

    Please  excuse the limited narrative today– I’m off and running all day. Another repeat and fabulous bsquared family with two really super fun boys. And if taking their pictures wasn’t enough, they introduced me to a great new location too!

    Thanks for a great shoot and for the new location!

    the pear family

    First, welcoming this family (who I adore) back from their trip to Disney- hopefully their pictures will hold the post-Disney-blues at bay. Secondly, I love photographing them- the girls are all gorgeous and sweet and mom & dad aren’t bad themselves.

    Clearly, they should be modelling something fabulous. Threw in a little swinging fun to break up the shoot. And you blog stalkers out there should recognize this little one. She’s been in Timmy’s pre-school class and is now in the same Kindergarten class with him. Can’t believe this is the same baby I photographed as a newborn. She’s so big already!!All time favorite sisters shot.  Welcome home, pear family. Can’t wait to hear all about the trip.

    the beil family

    My second year photographing this fantastic family from Connecticut. Made it up there in record time (leaving the house at 7:30am on a Saturday sorta sucks, but makes for easy no-traffic driving) and started the shoot nice and early so they could make their day’s soccer games.

    I finally figured out who this one reminds me of. Laura Dern. And the baby got so big and changed so much from last year. Dad was featured in a financial trade magazine last year with the picture I took of him which was pretty exciting! He’s up for the same feature story this year so I snapped another few of him with the hopes he’ll be in the magazine again. Good luck!! Thanks for a great morning!

    the powe girls {mini session}

    I’ve been photographing these girls…well, since before they were born. How’s that for a history? I’m loving watching them grow up. They get more and more delicious each shoot.

    Yeah, those eyes are amazing. And they are as sweet as they are cute.

    7 for Sunday

    1. My good friend Marianne has been training in massage therapy- more specifically in relaxing Yoga massage. I volunteered for a 90 minute massage (she has to practice  for a certain number of hours before she qualifies) and it was great! Very stretchy and relaxing. Well, except for when she hit me when I made her laugh during the massage. Yeah, I don’t think the masseusse is supposed to hit the client. Whatever…it was still good. Even with the bruises. Just kidding!

    2. So I have this online friend from Iowa. You know how people say that someone is a brother from another mother? Well, she’s sorta like that. We still haven’t met in real life and just chat on FB, but we have SO much in common. I’m trying to get her to come out here in the spring for a visit. We met over a crumpler bag I sold to her. Funny how the world works. Her husband thinks we’re insane.

    3. John got a new car this past week. A Mercedes (little) SUV. It’s really nice and I’m enjoying driving it. Which I do all weekend while going between shoots.

    4. We’re getting blog visitors from all over the world. Newest ones are from Australia, Phillipines, Malaysia, Portugal, Ireland, Hungary, Belarus, The Cayman Islands, Greece, India and Taiwan. Waving hi to all of you!

    5. Went to the Notre Dame vs. Navy game today at the Meadowlands with John, the boys, the boys friend Johnny and Robin & Joe. It was a great time, complete with tailgating and a great game where Notre Dame lost. As a UMiami alumni/fan, I just can’t like Notre Dame. Can’t do it. Sorry. Then we came home and I watched the UMiami vs. UNC game where Miami won! A great football game. And maybe there’s still hope for the Orange Bowl?

    6. I recently booked my very first delivery room/birth session. It’ll be in mid November in Connecticut and I cannot wait!!

    7. Off to 10 mini sessions today- all back to back. Should make for a fun and exciting day. And exhausting.
