the goo & tar families (+ some product shots too)
Ok, so I missed another blogging day. Sorry about that. Yesterday was nuts (what else is new) with two shoots during the day. My wonderful mother in law babysat while I shot and then took the boys to the movies. During which time I edited and took a shower. Exciting, I know. But last night I went up to Conneticut to have dinner with my college BFF, Robin (and her brother, and her brother’s girlfriend) and Joe and then we saw Brian of The Turn play at a bar in Stamford. It was a fun night and I am ridiculously exhausted, not to mention sick with a cold. Super. Tonight we are going to see Alison Moyet (lead singer of the group Yaz) at Westbury Music Fair. And then away to the ‘east house’ for part of the holiday weekend.
So, without further ado, making up for lost blogging time and posting the goo and tar families. The moms are the sisters who created and own their own business www.bcauseisaidso.com where they offer amazingly original and cute kids shirts. I’ve done lots of product work for them over the last year or so and also did photoshoots for both their families last year for holiday cards and some parties in between, so you will probably recognize them from the blog. I love my repeat clients and they are certainly no exception!
First the goo family. We shot over at Martin Viette Nursery in Muttontown where there happened to be a local TV crew filming for a pumpkin segment. The kids and mom & dad got interviewed so I had to snap a few of that. We all had a great time walking around and checking things out. They are seriously great boys.
Then the tar family arrived just in time to get some cousin shots (good for grandparents for the upcoming holidays!) and some product shots as well. Dontcha just love the new "back to school" shirts (kindergarten rock star and nursery school magna cum laude)?! Super cute.
We found some "christmasy trees" in the back of the nursery and settled in there with the tar boys looking for that elusive holiday shot. These boys are all about ACTION so getting that shot is always a challenge. But since they spent some time playing with my boys at the beach this summer and around me, they were a lot more comfortable which = better pictures. And really, how could you resist those faces??
