Timmy’s first day of school

He started today and will be going 2 days a week for 2.5hrs. Separation. It’s the big time baby! Today was just an hour and the mom’s stayed in the building just in case. He was SO excited to go to "timmy’s school" today and was asking for his backpack since he woke up this morning. After dropping the big boys at school, we went over to his school- all, of course, after the required pictures were taken. His teacher told us at orientation that she didn’t want the moms to come into the room, so I basically gave him a quick kiss and sent him off into the room. He did great!!!! No crying for the hour he was in there. He was so happy to see me after class (and I was so happy to see him, and to see him smiling) and I got a brief rundown in the car as to what he did in class. At least I have one kid who tells me something that happens at school!

-played with "orange playdough at the table and made a boat."

-Miss Diane read a story called "Let’s Go Shopping"

-had a goldfish snack

-played with toys (put the baby to sleep)

-told me his classmates names (there are only 4 kids in the class- it’s so nice)

-made a picture with crayons and stickers

– sang the goodbye song with Miss Diane

-"sang the goodbye song and then the mommies came back". " you came back, mommy!"

When I asked him if he had fun he said "I like it school!" And he wants to go back again. Can’t wait til next week. I just hope it goes as well then. Good job, Timmy! He’s so big, huh?
