photo a day- day 1

Many of my photografriends have been doing a photo a day project since January, and plan on keeping it up for the year- I felt inspired to give it a try. The year long idea is a bit too overwhelming for me to handle so I figure I’ll try it for the month and see how that goes. I figured February is a good month because it’s a little shorter than most months and theres not much going on work-wise now. Most of my friends who do this project have little ones at home with them for all or most of the day to photograph- my “little ones” are 14, 14 and turning 9 next week, are in school all day (the older ones are gone from 6:30am-5:30pm every day) so this is going to be a little bit more challenging for me. I guess I could take pictures of other stuff too- I might have to get a little creative. Which is kinda the kick in the ass I need to pick up the camera and get shooting again.

Today’s picture of the day is brought to you by Patrick and Timmy and the basketball “court” in the backyard. I don’t know when this whole basketball thing started with them, but they’re all over it all the time. Even when its been in the teens outside they’re out there shooting hoops. Jack is up at a debate at Horace Mann today, so it’s just the two of them. In shorts. In February. (I took the picture from the back door, still inside the house!)
