10 for Tuesday

Another blog I follow usually does the 10 for Tuesday thing, so I thought I’d try it for today.

1. Had a suspicious mole removed from the side of my face this morning. Being the hypocondriac jew that I am, of course I thought skin cancer right away, but the dermotologist thinks it’s probably nothing. I went and got it checked out cause it looked different recently (there was a beauty mark there my whole life) and with all my years in the sun– can’t be too careful. I’ll hear results within a week. So just keep a good thought for me, ok? Hopefully it’s nothing just like the doctor initially thought.

2. Had a partial playgroup here today with 10 (yes 10) kids and 3 moms. We all had a great time. So fun seeing everyone and having all the kids play together again. Here’s 1/2 of the original playgroup:

And here’s all the kids that were here today. We were short by 7. When we started the playgroup when the big boys were 3 months old (yes, we’re all still friends- how cool is that!?) there were 7 kids, and now we are up to 17. Man, that’s a lot of kids.

3. John, the big boys, my dad, John’s dad, Uncle That Guy, Brendan, Uncle Joe, and Nelson went to opening day at CitiField last night. It was also John’s birthday and big thanks to Gene and Otto for getting his name up on the big screen for a happy birthday! The boys used up all the batteries in the camera by then, so there are no pictures of John’s name on the screen. But here are some from last night anyway (most by Jack & Patrick- good job boys! especially on the shot of the lenses. They know what I like!) They didn’t get home until midnight.

4. Timmy and I both have colds. The nebulizer has been put back into use for him. Poor baby.

5. Was planning on going to the Museum of Natural History & the Planetarium with the boys and Uncle Nelson tommorrow but with Timmy hacking up a lung, I think we might be hitting the dr. instead. Fun times.

7. The big boys are off to their first (playing in) baseball game shortly. Hope they have fun. But they are exhausted. ….Just found out the game was cancelled due to cold/rain. Probably for the best.

8. I’m hearing that the Nunley’s carousel will be open over by the Childrens Museum in May. So excited!!! I still miss Nunley’s all the time. It would’ve been a great spot for pictures.

9. Still discussing buying the old Chevy pickup truck from out east. Hoping to do that this year. Need to do some scouting this week for some new/different photo locations. Any suggestions? This may or may not include a trip down to Asbury Park, NJ. I just don’t know if it’s safe enough there for me to go alone with the boys. Any idea on that?

10. I didn’t sleep more than 4 hrs last night. Just couldn’t sleep and then Timmy was up lots with the cough. Tired. Can’t wait to sleep tonight.
