grace’s first communion
Still catching up on communion season (that’ll be the case for a while). I’ve now photographed 3 out of the 4 kids in this awesome family for their first communions and this time it was Miss Grace’s turn. Being the only girl in a family full of boys must be kinda rough! She was lovely under the dogwood tree. So glad we finally got the tree in bloom this year, just in time for Grace!

teddy’s 1st communion
I’ve been photographing this not so little guy and his family for years and was so excited for him (and his orange pants!) for his first communion. I do need to mention that I miss his curls terribly! We did a mini session at home to help alleviate some of the stress of the day. Watching the little ones grow up (I’ve been photographing them since they were born) has been a joy too. I hope the rest of the day was great, stress free and that you didn’t kill yourself in your hot high heels, D.

melissa barrett, PT & yoga
In keeping with doing different things this year, here’s something I didn’t shoot before- physical therapy and yoga. Melissa is a friend from high school and I was so excited to hear about her brand new studio and practice. (i even got a little therapy massage on my constantly cramping shoulders/upper back. and let me tell you- you NEED to go to her!!) The space is beautiful, airy and light and the ambiance during “friday night lights” (yoga by candlelight) was so calm and serene. Melissa’s studio is located in St. Marks Church in RVC on the second floor. You should definitely go see her!! https://www.melissabarrettpt.com/

brayden’s 1st communion
My longest running clients and good friends celebrated their son’s first communion a few weeks ago. It was a gorgeous day, but I have to say that this kid had the best line of the day. He’s never happy to have his picture taken (although he is SO photogenic), so after the first 10 minutes I got “yeah, see you in a year”. And that was that.

katie’s first communion
Continuing on with the communions here on the bsquared blog, meet miss Katie who was full of sass and cuteness! If you are a loyal blog stalker, you might remember her from her big sister’s communion many years ago (Sarah is in the header above next to the forsythia. Since those pictures were among everyone’s favorites, we had to recreate them for Katie too!) We had some battling with the wind that day, but still got the job done. Congratulations to Katie and family! Hope it was a wonderful rest of the day celebrating.
