kate’s bat mitzvah
It was so great hearing from mom when she booked me for her daughter’s bat mitzvah, as we went to elementary school together. Other than the high school reunion a few years ago, I haven’t seen her since high school-well, except on Facebook. It was great to reconnect and meet her lovely family. Both the service and the reception were held at the Head of the Bay Club in Huntington. Fabulous light, awesome views and an especially excellent bat mitzvah girl!

brian & janet
Taking a small break from communions to post something different. Met up with my longtime “band friend” Brian and his girl Janet (who now have a band together called The Jackson Massive) and just grabbed a few really quick shots of them. Of course we met up at Kookaburra, where they live when they’re not at home or playing a gig. Purple hair= so awesome.

matthew’s 1st communion
When mom contacted me to ask me to take pictures for this little guy’s communion I was 1. in shock that it was his turn already and 2. so excited to recreate one of my all time favorite pictures that happened by accident. The “squish your faces together picture” lives on! He even told me he was practicing before the day. We braved the wind and slightly chilly temps to get in some great “regular” pictures too. I think when he graduates high school, we’ll have to do this shot one more time. History, and all.

jack’s 1st communion
I think this is my 3rd shoot with this fab family, but even though I lost count it’s only cause I enjoy photographing them so much! They have a Jack & Patrick also, but the opposite order, so I always have to stop and think about that before I call their names. This year was Jack’s communion so we took some photos at their home right before they headed over to the church. He was the coolest cat in his glasses. Hope it was a great day and that the “block party” after was as fun as it was shaping up to be.

liam’s 1st communion
Love photographing this family, and have been lucky enough to do so many times throughout the years. This time, it was Liam’s turn to be the star of the show. Right after the communion mass but before his party at the Links really got started, we took a few family pictures to commemorate this special day.
