    julia’s first communion

    Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I shot my last communion (not this one, I’m way behind like usual!) for 2015 this past weekend, but I have tons to edit and post so stay tuned. Today’s communion is for a very special little girl and her awesome family. We got to know them thru baseball (so, yeah its good for something!!) and the kids played together on the original RVC Royals baseball team. We’ve become great friends, travelled together, been at concerts and parties. And dad is my weight loss/walking coach- he’s the best! So glad we’re such good friends  and so glad to capture Julia’s special day. She was a rock star!!! Tons of photos ahead, they’ve been waiting a long time for their photos!

    ryan’s 1st communion

    After photographing his sister’s 1st communion 2 years ago, it was time for Ryan’s big day. Just like last time, the day was cold and soooooo windy- maybe the 3rd time with the littlest in a few years will be the charm? But everyone was still great and smiley and we had ourselves a fun little session.  I mean, how could you not with this face?!

    See what I mean about the wind? Still loved the moment, though.

    the craw family {a marine corps family}

    If you’re a bsquared blog follower (which I hope you are!) you’ll know that I do free sessions for active duty military families. Figured it was just a nice, but small way to thank them for their service and so that they have pictures of their loved ones if they deploy (or for their families to have while they’re away). Big thanks to my friend Jess (you can see her usmc family session here) for hooking me up with all the Marine Corps families I’ll be photographing over the next few months. Please leave some thanks for the “craw” family- Dad for his service & keeping us safe and free, and Mom and the boys for their service too!
