daniel’s first communion
As promised, the blog is hopping again with lots of great families. This is one of my favorite families- they’re our very good friends and I was so happy to finally get to photograph them! This has been a while in the making! Big congrats to Daniel on his first communion- he did a great job, especially speaking at the mass.

harrison’s first communion
First shoot back to work, and what a fantastic family to start the official shooting season with! Mom and I felt like we knew each other already (benefits of Facebook friendship!) and just felt comfortable right away. Such an awesome family with a great, happy dynamic. And the missing teeth? I wish every communicant looked like this- so totally stinkin cute!!!! Get comfy, I over shot as per my usual and have lots of photos to share because I couldn’t narrow it down further!

cub scouts pack #238
A few weeks ago I photographed the Blue & Gold ceremony for Cub Scouts Pack #238. Just throwing up a few fun photos on the blog for your viewing pleasure. They were a fun bunch to photograph and big thanks to Bill who ran the day and was great to work with. (The event was held at the VA Hospital in Northport, which as you know, holds a special place with me as that’s where I volunteer now).

the lasts of colorado {merry christmas}
Finally blogging the last pictures from our trip almost a year ago. Sad, but true. And these were going to be for our christmas card, but the boys ended up getting their braces off a few weeks after this trip so I was basically told not to use them. Oh, well- Merry Christmas!. Hoping for a christmas card for 2015. Shoemakers kids…
And a shout out to my photografriend Sara Garcia for the location in Denver. You should definitely check out her work, its amazing!! Sara and I met at a workshop with the ever fabulous Zoe a few years ago and we were supposed to get together in her hometown of Denver when we were there visiting. Except she was like 15 months pregnant and due like any single second, so we decided it would be best if she didn’t deliver on the mountain top pictured below. Although scenic, probably not the best place to have a baby.
Pretty sure it was just a bb gun, but could you even imagine seeing this scene in the communist state of NY? A new friend by the side of the road.

zoe’s bat mitzvah
Apparently it’s bar/bat mitzvah season in my bsquared world which is great because coming up next is communion season, so I hit a little of both! I was lucky enough to photograph Zoe’s bat mitzvah and had a great time doing so. Lots of pictures ahead so get comfy.
The boys couldn’t wait to escape the picture portion of the day.Twins! (familiar with those)I get the same face when someone brings me sushi!One of my favorite couples. Emotional grandpa at the candle lighting.The story that went along with this one was so freaking funny, I was totally cracking up. “your mom is dead! your mom is dead!”Congratulations Zoe and family! May you always be surrounded by love and laughs!
