    the sche family

Took a trip out to East Hampton for a new to bsquared extended family session that didn’t go quite as planned. Not very long into the session in their backyard, there was a beehive that got disturbed and then all hell broke loose. You can only imagine what happened from there. One of the kids got stung at least 14 times. I felt so terrible but the hive wasn’t visible at all (must’ve been underground) and there was nothing we could do except run inside and try to keep the bees outside. We were able to do a few more pictures with the “unstung” kids and parents in the front of the house later. I’m really hoping you can’t “tell” in the pictures about the traumatic events of the day. Never had anything like this happen before (ok, once a dad got stung by a wasp at a park shoot) and I’m still trying to feel better about it. So enough about that, just enjoy the photos of this super cute family!

    the kust family

A brand new to bsquared family who I was so happy to meet and photograph. Their little girl was so full of spunk and personality- I was pretty happy she wasn’t terribly mobile yet as I know it would have been a big challenge for me to keep up with her if she was. Such a pleasure meeting all of you and I hope you enjoy your pictures!!

    the roge family

So thrilled to be photographing this family again this year, especially in good health! Couldn’t have picked a better night for their session on the beach- we’ve been so lucky this year with beautiful sunsets and gorgeous beach weather perfect for shooting. Loved having fun with them (and yes, they are super fun if you couldn’t tell from the pictures) at Lawrence Beach Club. There was even a great John Deere tractor on the beach for the little guy. Its like they knew we were coming!

    the mro family

I love that this family loves pictures. They have used many of my photografriends over the years and this year, I got my shot with them again. Its been a while since we were last together for photos so it made this year extra special.

    the 1st day of school

And just like that, summer is over. So very sad about that this year, but looking forward to a great school year for all of the boys.

Timmy actually had school earlier than Jack & Patrick today (they had orientation in the afternoon) so they came along to see him off. He had his brand new Vineyard Vines shep shirt all ready to wear yesterday, but with it being 90 degrees (ironically, the first 90 degree day the whole summer fell on the 1st day of school) he had to skip it. Still terribly handsome though!

Getting to school.Timmy has his BFF Jack N in his class this year. The first time since 1st grade. Although he looks just thrilled in the picture, they were both sooooo excited to be back together. I’m sure their teacher may be not quite as happy about the arrangement- I see separate corners in their near future to prevent chatting! And his other BFF James is also in his class again this year. The kid lucked out big time!!As Jack & Patrick said, it’s the Timmy three. The school grounds were NUTS so I didn’t get many other pictures. 4th grade should be a blast!!And then it was the big boys turn to go to school (just a 2hr orientation yesterday, but then they took the train up to Yankee Stadium with a school friend to catch the game. Not such a bad life, right?)A moment of peace and twinness. They were happy to be back at school (mostly. ya know, except for the work which will start on Monday when classes do). They are crazy tall and grown up. And today is a big day too- braces are coming OFF! Pictures on that soon too. Hope everyone had a smooth & easy transition back to school. I’m not digging the schedule part of it, but I got so much done yesterday (more than the whole summer combined I think!) so at least I’ll be productive while I mourn the beach and sleeping late every day. For those of you who emailed me on the fall calendar- I will get back to you sometime today. Things got crazy (my usual excuse, but sooooo true- I swear!!) and I just ran out of time. Again.
