    julia graduates nyu

Big congratulations to Julia on graduating New York University! Although we have differing opinions on her employment (she works for the Rangers. So, no. I am a huge Islanders fan if that wasn’t apparent.) I wish her nothing but the best in her very exciting future!! We had to reschedule the session a few times but finally made it work. Washington Square park was crazy busy with other graduates, but we found some spots to shoot that were a little quieter.

elvar & katie get engaged, but not really…

Elvar & Katie came to me thru my photografriend Gina who wasn’t able to shoot their last minute session, so I stepped in. They have been married for 10 years (it was actually their 10 year anniversary on the day of our shoot) and Katie’s original engagement ring got misplaced someplace along the way. So Elvar picked out a gorgeous new engagement ring for her and set up (with the help of his brother and sister in law) a suprise “proposal” at Sunken Meadow beach. Katie was very surprised, they had a rather large audience of strangers cheering for them on the boardwalk, and we shot a few fun pictures for their engagement/anniversary/proposal/celebration. We unfortunately had to cut it shorter than we had originally planned as their daughter was home sick and they needed to get back to her fast, but I think we got some great photos in the time we had. Congratulations and happy anniversary to the happy couple!

    Clock tower & new landscaping

Another quick shoot for my friend Hopkins at Hopkins Landscape Design. The clock by the train station in town looked beautiful (as it does for every season he designs it) and a newly landscaped home in town that had perfect pops of color. Hopkins told me that the clock looks best with no cars around it (and I agreed, BUT…) that would mean I would have to be there at like 5 or 6am and we all know THATS NEVER happening. Ever. So I parked my cutest car ever close by and made the best of a pretty day.

    lucy’s 1st communion

I do love this family- like a lot- and now I have even more reasons to. Let’s just say they are good judges of character, including the kids. This is the 3rd 1st holy communion I’ve photographed for them over the years and they never disappoint! They always bring the love and the fun! Little Lucy is so cute!!
