the gac family
You might remember these gorgeous kids from a shoot a week or two back. I did a shoot for their cousins and they hopped into a few, but this time we had just the kids and mom & dad (who are gorgeous too) joined us over at Planting Fields. I have to say that this was just the happiest, most easy going family. They all just really LIKE eachother. You can see it in the way they look at eachother and just how they are around eachother. It was so pleasant hanging out with them for a little while.
It was about 100 degrees (literally) the day we did the shoot, and the kids were such troopers. We even managed a christmas card shot. And that $50 photography permit fee required to shoot at Planting Fields? Totally worth it.

the stac family
These extraordinarily good looking people couldn’t have picked a better location and day for their family pictures. The weather at the beach was fantastic that evening and the sky was the perfect backdrop. They were a lot of fun and I could’ve just as easily spent the time chatting with mom instead of taking pictures! I did tear myself away from the chatting to get some actual work done and loved the results. Hope you do, too.

the lef family
"Met" this great family a few weeks ago by phone and it turns out that the mom owns her own business as well. She is the owner/teacher of "Music Together" which is a great music and movement class for kids of all ages. I have heard great things about it and know many of her students who rave about her classes. Check it out here:
I’m going to be doing a class shoot for her soon, so be on the lookout for that sometime this fall.
We had a bunch of fun on our shoot. Her littlest son (according to mom) has two speeds- on and sleeping. Man, he is a busy kid. He found it necessary to hold on to the towel that his mom was cleaning him up with (it was a bit muddy at the park) and wouldn’t part with the thing for the rest of the shoot- and believe me we all tried! At least it was colorful and looked good in the pictures. The older two kids were sweet and so easy- they both had a great time posing for me.
It was so great meeting all of you! Hope you like your pictures.

the mor family at the beach
My very good friends and their sweet, adorable, photogenic as anything family and their latest shoot. This time down at Malibu. This is Timmy’s future wife (or at least prom date, I hope). Thanks Sharon for the babysitting today. I owe you! Payment in creative picture displays coming soon….
There’s not enough I can say about them, so I’m going to just let the pictures speak for themselves.

a little stormy
These were taken during the "tropical storm" we had here a week or two ago. Completely unimpressed by the storm- we’ve had way worse rain with thunder and lightening during the summer. Nevermind the fact that the stupid market and A & S (the italian deli, not the old clothing store) looked like armageddon was immenent. I just went there to do my usual shopping, but the cashier at the stupidmarket said it had been crazy since 7:30 that morning. Whatever, people. It’s just some rain.
Timmy and Patrick came outside to play in the rain. Jack wasn’t particularly interested.
On that note, good thoughts and strength going out to all of those people dealing with REAL weather issues in Texas and elsewhere.
